raddish.world has sprouted! 🫜♀

raddish.world is a new female-centered social media website created by a group of radical feminist women aiming to build a global community of leftist-feminist women from all around the world. The website is inspired by the principles of radical feminism as described on kindrad.org, and is dedicated to giving a voice online to radical feminist women, as well as women who support, feel inspired by, or are aligned with the concepts of radical feminism, and provide space for radfem allies to connect. 💜

raddish.world is powered by Lemmy, an open-source Reddit-style social media platform. We've been slowly growing the website, and we currently have communities ranging from dedicated spaces for lesbian women and ex-religious women; to spaces for feminist matters like gender criticism, reproductive rights, and anti-surrogacy/prostitution/pornography; to hobby and general interest communities like books, technology, and environmental sustainability.

All women are welcome to create the communities they wish to see. 💜 We hope to take the Redstockings Manifesto to heart, and achieve internal democracy. I believe the best way to do that is to allow women to create their own spaces for themselves, their life experiences, and their values.

The site is currently invite-only to ensure that only women participating in good faith are invited during this early stage in which the site is focusing on growing out a strong foundation of inclusive radfem/leftist-feminist women. Colonial feminism is the idea that we can promote feminism through colonialism. The fallacy that everyone opposed to decolonization supports misogyny done by men is ridiculous.

By that metric, if you wish to go there, analyze the position of the IDF - a colonial force in Israel run by people colonizing Palestine, raping and killing Palestinian women and children for the sake of land that they're colonizing - would you say you support that?

We're not accepting zionism any more than we accept Islamofascism, in fact they are very similar!

Zionism is an ideology that promotes a jew-run ethnostate, this is this would mean Palestinian women would be 2nd class citizens under said country with limited rights. Even a two state solution is an injustice to these people.

As an ex-muslim who is opposed to Abrahamic religions like Islam I know the issues with the religion more than most people, but also understand the last thing Palestinians need is people turning a blind eye to colonialism simply because they're Muslim. If we care about Palestinian women, we'll focus on their primary contradiction first - the bombs dropping on them by colonial forces. The patriarchy itself is the thing they'll have to deal with once they have their land back.

The nuance is too much for you, I know. I recommend resources such as DecolonizePalestine for the common arguments that are posed here. Yes, Palestine has existed for hundreds of years. Even the of "Romans invented the word Palestine" myth is there.

Diddy now makes the umpteenth high profile rape case where a BDSM and "rough play" defense has successfully evaded serious charges related to domestic abuse and rape.
