Trans Ace hc where being trans actually weighs on Ace heavily not just because of the whole dysphoria thing but because as a man, he looks more like his dad. So no matter what he does—man or woman, he’s still haunted by his father’s legacy.

He ask himself why he has to be this way, why he can’t just “go back to being a girl” and holding on to the fact that he at least looked a little more like his mom back then. But he knows deep down that can’t do that. And it just reaffirms the idea that he is and will always be just an extension of his father. Because to him, it’ll start with the transition, then the personality, then the actions, until he has become just as worthy of death and undeserving of love as his dad—the man who impregnated his mother with the baby that would kill her on its way into the world, the man who despite being able to make it everywhere else just in time, couldn’t make it back to his own family. The man who left his own son so a marine that threw them in the woods all the time and left them to live with bandits.

And sure people would tell him that what he thinks about himself isn’t true. But they just don’t know like he does. Everyone he meets will never know where he comes from or what it is that makes him face all the mirrors away from him. But he does. He can’t even enjoy his top surgery to the fullest because he just looks like his father. A sweet, emotional moment ruined yet again by a man he’s never met.

And Ace would just live with that constant struggle to trying to figure out what the cost of being himself would be. And if he could bare to pay it either way.

Yknow that scene in shippuden where Naruto and Sakura are falling and Sasuke saves Naruto who can fly or wtv instead of Sakura? What if he does that because he’s nervous (in addition to the wtv other reason)

Cuz I mean think about it. Naruto and Sasuke save each other as a way to one up one another all the time. It’s their thing. But how often has he done that to Sakura? What if he saw her falling and the thought of holding her made him nervous so he was like “pfft- ahh, kakashi’s got it under control..”

What if every time he has to get close and like heroic for her he gets a little nervous. Because there’s no competition behind it, it’s just pure love and care. Like cmon guys see the vision, walk with me

I wonder what it is that Sakura saw in Sai that made her think of Sasuke. I haven’t actually watched all of shippuden so I can only guess; but I was watching an edit on tiktok and it made me think.

Because I think putting a character like Sai in Sasukes place was definitely a purposeful choice. (Although, I do think it meant something for Sai too, because as the show goes on we as the viewer have to learn to see him as his own person with an identity instead of a Sasuke replacement. Which, goes along with him literally trying to make an identity for himself beyond being a tool BUT THATS NOT THE POINT)

Sometimes i feel like a lot of people headcanon sasuke as gay as opposed to bi because they kinda ignore what love looks like for him. Not to say he can’t be gay, i mean I couldn’t look you in the eye and say truthfully that it’s impossible. But I think that people will say he’s gay because they think he treats women coldly compared to men when that’s not entirely true.

Sasuke, from what I’ve seen, doesn’t show a lot of affection to anyone unless it’s someone he deems close to him. He doesn’t show a lot of affection to anyone— man or woman because they’re not Naruto or Sakura. He’s not showing a gender bias he’s just biased 😭

Uchiha are known to love deeply. And I feel like with that comes a selectiveness. On top of that sasuke’s got a selective personality. He doesn’t just give his love out to others. He’s not like Naruto who willingly puts his heart on the line for others in an attempt to show they’re worth understanding.

We know by watching the show that Sakura and Naruto are of equal importance to him because of how badly he tries to get rid of them. Now someone could make the argument that his attempt to get rid of Naruto was fiercer than his attempt to get rid of Sakura. And I’d half agree. On one hand, the show does make a point to say sasuke and Naruto’s relationship is special.

The author does that for the plot and to use the extremes of their relationship to expand on the themes of friendship, empathy, understanding, the forms and effects love can have on others, and what it even means to have a friend to begin with.

But on the other hand, what else is he supposed to do?? He can go easier on Sakura because Sakura isn’t chasing after him with foam coming out her mouth talking about “we’ll just die and understand eachother in the afterlife” I’d fight hard too, Naruto’s ass is crazy asf 😭⁉️

Sasuke does not love Sakura less than Naruto. Their love has the same weight to him and he had the same feelings of fear and inadequacy towards both of their love. He just shows it a little differently.

At the end of the day though it’s a free country you can headcanon him as whatever you want.
