I think people need to be better at recognizing Nazi and white supremacist symbols and imagery because like a lot of them are not always used in obvious contexts. You get aesthetic photos with people wearing a leather jacket that has an SS logo that to an untrained eye may appear to just be lightning bolts side-by-side or a small iron cross on a t-shirt that looks like it could be sold at Forever 21. Fascism is on the rise and it is absolutely essential to be able to recognize and call attention to these symbols even if it seems as though the context it is used is not obviously insidious because these symbols have coded meanings and significations and the dismissal of this problem only works to normalize it, which is exactly what Nazis and white supremacists want
