Something that really punches me in the guts in WHA Chapter 93 [Major spoilers of course]

It's the way Olruggio is all smiles while telling Qifrey to erase his memories. He seems so cheerful about it, which is such a contrast to how Qifrey is crying his heart out.

He seems like he's downplaying the gravity of what is happening so much, perhaps to not make this more difficult for Qifrey if he shows he hurts too ?

He's all cheers and smiles, until he snaps. Until he can't hold it anymore. And that's the only time he snaps in this scene:

The only time he snaps out of his smiley cover is when he wants Qifrey to grasp his future, to not give up on life. The only time he got a tear in the eye, is him yelling he doesn't want Qifrey to die.

I don't know for y'all, but to me Olruggio trying to smile through it all despite how desperate he actually feels is one of the major reason this scene is so haunting to me

The found family trope is very dear to me, and Shirahama decided to DOOM IT CRUELEST WAY POSSIBLE

It's such a good, yet cruel concept to me.

All the point of found family is to finally being accepted by people who love and care for you after all you had to go through. But the silverwood hosts cannot even embrace that tenderness ? That's so fucked up. That's so fucked up.

It's reaaaally great to have associate that with a tree though; The concept of roots. The heart blooming with love, and it taking over.

Something about the way Luka embraces Marinette and Adrien really hits my feelings for some reason.

It's the way he closes his eyes before holding them, clearly being hurt by all that is happening, but resolving himself that he has to do what's needed for their sake. Even if he's hurt himself, even if he's the one being left or the one leaving, he holds them like he's keeping them from falling apart. Like he reassures them, comforts them, but also dares to take with him a last little something from them.

Something about the way Tikki said that Luka's confession of love to Marinette is one of the most beautiful she ever heard in her life, even though she lived for thousands of years and probably heard many confessions before 🥺

I keep having visions of Wise being on a mission with Section 6 in Hollow Zero, the situation is getting dire but then the group is scattered away through fissures. Wise ends up alone with Harumasa, but it's not long before he notices something is wrong; Corruption is getting to Harumasa, and terminal symptoms of EARS start to show up.

They're alone, in an unstable part of the Hollow. Coms are disturbed. He can't plan a way out in these conditions.

All Wise can do is hold Harumasa and try to comfort him as he has to watch his face and body slowly getting distorted by pain and corruption.

Gods, since I'm writing about it, I keep on churning about this, and now I'm being hit with the realization of how fucking INTRUSIVE AS FUCK Maruki is.

Ren's wish to have Akechi back was never spoken out loud to ANYONE. It's a very intimate wish, that no one around him would be able to understand, or that could hurt the ones he cares about. Like I said before, I just know Ren is even shameful about it since it's about missing and caring so deeply his friends' parents' murderer. It's his only selfish wish, as someone who is so giving to everyone else.

That wish must have been buried so deep down, shamefully, perhaps barely even consciously. And Maruki just guts it out and bares it to the world so balantly — Dare I say cruelly, even ?
