I told my supervisor I couldn't be in at 7a because I had to vote. I got to my polling place at 615a. I was number 11 in line. They didn't open the doors until 7:10a and there were already more people waiting than I'd ever seen here. I wanted to vote in person because I am relatively healthy, already work with the public and did not want any radical forces deterring me from showing up and expressing my right to vote. Followed the matching family t-shirt tradition started by my Aunt, @janasomma, in 2016 and wore my #RBG shirt. Also sporting my @begoodtopeople hat and mask to spread the good word. I've been proud to serve #Conshy and do my part to ensure people have as many opportunities to vote safely during this pandemic. Continuing this by going in to work now and providing an essential American service. (Also blasted @rageagainstthemachine's #TakeThePowerBack while I pulled out of the parking lot to the dismay of the mostly red voters I passed) *NOTE: My post reflects my own personal views and not that of my employer* #vote #vote2020 #myvoteisBGTP #essentialworkers #lettercarrier #USPS #saveUSPS #bluewave2020 #dissent #ivoted #delco #philadelphia #philaburbia #greeneyes #butchisnotadirtyword #butch #dyke #nofilter #buildbackbetter @maddowshow @joyannreid @chrislhayes @lastwordmsnbc @andersoncooper @cnn https://www.instagram.com/p/CHIQhqPHaxW/?igshid=9h06eizl7vvv
