Hey :) *SPOILERS* so in your list about RTTE you mentioned that one of the characters was hinted to be bisexual. Who were you talking about? Because I'm now seeing both Snot and Ruff as bi now because of bonecrusher and ruff flirting with heather

Yes yes yessss. Ruffnut certainly feels like she is flirting with Heather. I did not get a platonic vibe. There was one moment in particular that didn’t feel platonic. There certainly could be something bisexual about her flirtations, though I would love to have more evidence on the matter.
The character I think who is less debatably bisexual is Snotlout. Initially I assumed that the writers simply wished to depict a humorous, over-the-top platonic mancrush. Even Astrid’s comment, “Did Snotlout just fall in love with Fishlegs?” could be interpreted in a comical BROTP-sort of way. After all, as much as I crave queer representation in media, I like to try to be conservative on labels and say it’s only there when it’s pretty obviously there.
So I was going for the “extreme mancrush” interpretation.
No one is telling me that kid is straight now.
Well, you can try. That’s fine.
But I’ll keep fighting tooth and nail and claw for canonically bisexual Snotface Snotlout Jorgensen.
Snotlout is a young man with commonly intense, passionate, over-the-top emotional reactions. He can be a bit histrionic at times, but the point is that he’s always reacting to something sincerely from his heart. Snotlout cannot hide his emotions, after all. He wears his heart on his sleeve. When he’s angry, he’s obviously legitimately angry. When he’s feeling insecure, he can try to brag it off, but his voice falters and he’s really quite obvious. When Snotlout is feeling sad or frightened, he tries to mask those emotions, too, but anyone within twenty miles of him can tell what he’s actually feeling and thinking.
This means that this moment where Snotlout acts in the moment, kissing Fishlegs on the cheek, is a genuine emotional action. It might be impulsive. It might be a bit gushy and overreactive. But it’s sincere and represents what he’s actually thinking and feeling.
And both Fishlegs and Hiccup sense that this moment is unique. Hiccup calls it “weird,” and I don’t think he’s saying that to be heteronormative talking about the fact one man just kissed another on the cheek. Hiccup is saying that it’s “weird” because usually Snotlout is not this gushy and sincere. Snotlout flirts a lot with women, but it’s often very self-focused, pompous, and braggart-ly. Even with a woman he’s really hit on deeply, he has never grabbed someone’s face, stared them in the eye, and then kissed them. So what they mean by “weird” is that Snotlout is being extremely intense, and they could not have anticipated such an emotional, mushy scene from him. It might be a humorous moment, but it’s still Snotlout’s legitimate heart we’re seeing here and should not be passed off as simply a comical gag.
Someone could try to say Snotlout is just being intense in his platonic bromance. You could probably get away with it had he not kissed Snotlout. But altogether, we have too much going on and adding up in the body language department. Hands holding tenderly onto Fishlegs’ cheeks and then yanking him closer when he tries to pull away. Staring at him intensely eye-to-eye and drawing his face so close their lips are almost touching. And then giving a very meaningful, very firm kiss on Fishlegs’ cheek.
And if that doesn’t convince you, just pair it up with the really mushy, corny dialogue. “I’m just thinking of what could have been. You broke my heart, Thor, you broke it right in two.” *kiss*
Even someone like me, who doesn’t tend to ship anything, who doesn’t try to dig deep to find underlying queer representation, has to slam his hands down on the desk and say, “Dude that kid’s bi.” Sure, they’re not going to say he is, but the scene screams enough to me. So I said RTTE “hints” at him (and potentially Ruffnut!) being bi. But what I mean to say is… I totally believe he’s bi.
