Hey, I wasn’t judging. I love a good ego, especially when the person is actually as talented as they think they are, like us for example. You were the one who was making it sound like a bad thing. Right, okay.

It’s not exactly a bad thing. Except when it hinders your relationships with the outer world. Thankfully, I’m immune to the Jesse St. James ego outbursts. Others are much more...sensitive.

It’s been a long time since I last sang anything… I could try though? Would you need dancers too? I was usually better at dancing. My younger self liked to show my latin swing off any chance I could.

Of course! Dancers, singers, background actors. I find they’re just as important to make a real show. I’m sure you were a lovely dancer. So hopefully you’ll be able to show your talent very soon.

I suppose that’s exactly it. Love over hate. Every time. Oh, it’s fine. I don’t think we ever spoke while you lived in the Northside. But that makes sense considering you’re older and we had quite different friends.

Are your parents the sole owners of the theater or do you also own a potion of it? I don’t mind talking to them. I take the revitalization of our community very seriously and I think the theater adds such a wonderful culture that should be nurtured and given the star treatment, excuse the pun. Besides, I’m good friends with many people who love performing so it would be a wonderful gift to give back to our city.

They are the owners, yes. I’m just helping them run the business. And I’m sure you mean well and your dedication to our town is very impressive. But selling the business is not something we ever considered.

You really think it’s that good though? I mean… I could send you the song too if you want. I just can’t believe they actually want to meet with me..

Oh! In that case, you should definitely enjoy it. That’s the only kind of business and pleasure partnership I approve of. Oh no, don’t say that. You never know what next Christmas will bring.

I would absolutely love to hear your song. But I’m no record selling expert, so don’t take my opinion into account other than when I say you’re truly amazing.

Yeah, I’d heard a lot of the same. But it’s good that you have great dad’s that aren’t. I think our generation dealt with enough terrible father’s and/or parents that they’re going to make up for it and have some good ones. Ah, I didn’t realize you don’t celebrate Christmas.

I’ve been blessed. And hopefully the next generation will experience the same kind of love. Starting with Grace. Oh, no I don’t. We’re Jewish.

Well, we’d figure that out in negotiations. Investors typically get a portion of the proceeds. I’d own a small part of the business but your family would continue to own the majority. During the negotiation process, we’d determine whether I straight own part of the theater, or if I only own until I’m paid back, or whatever it is that works best for all the parties involved. I want to enhance our community, Rachel, and upgrading such an important business would definitely do that.

Ah. I see. So you’re just trying to buy your way in. Well, like I said. I’d have to discuss it with my parents. But I’ll warn you right now that I don’t think they’d be very interested at the moment.
