Super foods for breakfast is an AMAZING way to start my day ๐๐ This bowl has: 1.5ย C rolled oats (Red Mill) 1/4ย C pumpkin seeds 1/4ย C sunflower seeds 1/4ย C cashew pieces 1/4ย C dried cherries 1/4ย C dried cranberries 1/4ย C hemp seed hearts 1/2ย C goji berries 2 TBS maca powder 2 TBS coconut oil 1ย C almond butter
I mixed it all up, spread it in a pan, and froze it for 20 ish minutes and then cut it into bars. So yummy and even though I was tired these are perking me right up, for the most part ๐ No, I donโt know the calories or the carbs. Iโve come to the conclusion that counting and tracking doesnโt work for me, but just eating what I want in moderation does. ๐
Frozen banana Frozen peach slices 1/2 C unsweetened almond milk Juice from 1 orange Handful of goji berries 1 TBS flaxseed meal 1 TSP chia seeds 1 TSP maca powder 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla) Blended in a nutri bullet and topped with more banana, goji berries, and unsweetened shredded coconut ๐๐๐๐๐
Vanilla protein mug cake! IโM IN HEAVEN ๐๐๐
Mugcake:
2 tbs coconut flour (or oat flour/regular flour) โจ 2 egg whites โจ 1 tbsp. vanilla whey powder โจ1 tbsp. Greek yogurt โจ 1 tsp. vanilla โจ 1/2 tsp. baking powder (not soda! ๐) โจ 12-5 drops liquid stevia vanilla cream
"FROSTING" ๐: โจ2 tbsp. Greek yogurt โจ1 tbsp. PB2 chocolate (powdered peanut butter, chocolate flavor) โจ 5 liquid stevia drops
Mix the mug cake ingredients together in a glass mug and microwave for 45 seconds, then open the microwave and let it rest for 30, microwave again in 10-15 second periods until its not liquidy/jiggly in the middle of mug! Flip onto plate and let cool for a couple minutes. For the frosting just mix the three and put it on your cake! Then, DEVOUR ๐๐๐
I'm in quest bar heaven ๐๐๐ Each bar has 21 grams of protein, 17 grams of fiber and just 1 gram of sugar! They're amazing as my post workout treat, especially when you broil it and it gets like a cookie ๐๐๐
Bowl full of quinoa, salmon, and avocado. Mmmm ๐๐๐
Breakfast today was the same smoothie that I posted before, that one turned out so yummy I've had it three days in a row ๐๐๐ I woke up starving this morning, I've been sick so all I've been eating is soup ๐๐๐ just organic chicken broth from trader joes with a little water added, nbd ๐ but to satisfy my hunger this morning (from feeling better!) I had a whole wheat round from Costco with half a wedge of light laughing cow cheese, half a small avocado, and a poached egg! Plus 4 small veggie sausages by Morningstar brand! They're surprisingly good for being vegetarian ๐

I don't know how to comment in the notes section but I just wanted to say keep going you're awesome!! You motivate me to try and post what I eat too
This hands down made my day! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :) I'll be following, can't wait to see what you post!
1 cup of crushed ice 1 cup spinach 1/2 cup kale 10 small strawberries 1 banana 1 tsp chia seeds 1 tsp flax seed meal A sprinkling of bee pollen and goji berries I drank this about 2 hours ago, skipped my morning coffee to see if this could give me the energy I need, and it works like a charm. I'm at work and in a good mood! Great way to start the day. I also ate a quest bar but finished it before I remembered to take a picture ๐๐๐
Divine Organics: Yellow Peruvian Macaย
Maca is rich in vitamin B vitamins, C, and E and it even provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids. This super fine, TOTALLY TASTELESS (when added to things..) amazes me already.ย
It's well known for giving your body energy and stamina with just a small amount, which I'll be getting when I add it to my nutri-blast every morning! It also helps restore red blood cells AND supplies your body with iron. It's a good aid to keep your teeth and bones healthy too!ย
I also read that it's good for acne (?) I suffer from some minor skin problems, so I will absolutely be tracking my breakouts to see if that's true!ย
One teaspoon in my smoothie every morning :)ย
GROCERY SHOPPING MADNESS
So all those excuses came to an end and I braved Costco, Trader Joes, and even Whole Foods with the help of my partner in crime, Momma Jenn.
Trader Joes and Costco were the obvious choices:
Veggies, fruits, grains, and everything clean
ย ย ย - we bought all organic, all clean foodsย
Whole Foods wasย crazyย
I admit I had fun in there, my total came to about 65 dollars for about 12 items. To be damn specific, because I'm sitting here looking at my receipt, I spent 67.40 on the following...
4 quest nutrition bars, maca powder, goji berries, raw cacao nibs, cacao powder, chia seeds, flax seeds, and bee pollen.ย
I'm excited to be healthy... Is that weird?
So here's the thing: I don't diet.ย I don't like counting calories and I don't always read the ingredients for the things I put in my body. I like junk food as much as the next person, but something hit me recently...
My body is going to respond to what I put in it. So this bad funk I've been stuck in.. could maybe have an explanation? If I eat bad, why wouldn't I feel bad? Go ahead, call me an airhead, because I know it's obvious. I was missing theย motivation.ย I'd put it off and put it off and come up with stupid excuses. For example,ย
1. "I'll start as soon as I go grocery shopping for the right stuff"ย
which immediately led to..
2. "This stuff is bullshit expensive maybe I'll wait til my next paycheck"ย
and of course it's that time of year when I went shopping so it turned into..
3. "I have presents and the holidays to pay for I'll wait til the New Year"ย
And here I am, it's officially 2014 and I'm going to do my best and stick to it.ย
New years resolution: get fit and get healthy.
I couldn't be more cliche if I tried. Damn.ย
