Lily Evans deserves the literal universe. She should be considered THE god.
Season 3 is just going to be a montage of Daniel Molloy trending and getting cancelled on TikTok for dating a 27 year old when in actuality his bf is a 514 year old sugar daddy who bought him an island

don't do velma like this man <//3
It only makes sense. Think Velma from the third and fourth live action films. You can't convince me that if she was in a similar situation as the Marauders were in that she wouldn't turn out as Peter.
That being said, I love Velma and Peter when he wasn't betraying his friends.

I like to imagine that some wands are like super sharp. Kinda like a stake. They only choose people they think are brave/suicidal enough to risk getting so close to the person they're duelling that they could easily be killed.
The two people that immediately pop into my mind to have a sharp wand are Regulus and Bellatrix.
The only ship that never fails to make me cry is Jily.
Like, what do you mean they were only together for 3 years before they sacrificed their life for Harry's.
Why did they only get to spend their three years of their life together when it should've been decades? Decades they could've used raising Harry, being happily married, becoming grandparents.
What do you mean they never had the chance to do that?
Why is there such a lack of female-character centric fics in the Marauders fandom? Why do they always have to be background characters in background ships unless they're being shipped with the male main character?
It's like people forget that women can have personalities and lives outside of men. Like this fandom needs to give the women some more love.
Pandalily, where Lily was Pandora's first friend at Hogwarts.
Pandalily, where neither realise they were pining over each other until Lily's 6th year and Panda's 5th.
Pandalily, where they both confess at the exact same time on a Hogsmead trip.
Pandalily, where Pandora loves Lily move than life itself, and Lily's love for Panda is larger than the expanse of the universe.
Pandalily, where Pandora constantly gets lost in lost in Lily's emerald eyes, and Lily always falls asleep, smiling to Pandora's soothing voice.
Dorlene, where Marlene fell first, Dorcas fell harder.
Dorlene, where they were rivals in every way and should've never fallen for each other, but Slytherin won one Quidditch match against Gryffindor, causing Dorcas to smirk at Marlene, which only made Marlene fall head over heels for her.
Dorlene, where Dorcas would sacrifice anything to keep Marlene safe and happy.
Dorlene, where they were the first legally married same-sex couple in wizarding Britain.
Simply Dorlene.
Why do people give my wife (aka Lily Evans) zero personality? Like, yeah she was a goody two shoes, but not JUST that. She called James a “arrogant toe rag” and Snape “Snivillous” to spite him, so she was not short of insults. Also she faced voldemort THREE times before she died, and that’s JUST the canon stuff.
Plus she’s friends with (or dating, depending on what you ship) MARY MACDONALD. You know she HAD to be cool.
I’m so tired of Lily saying something funny, snarky, or smart in headcanons and fanfics and people in the comments saying things like “that’s more something blah-blah-blah would say”
Like SHUT UP!!! Lily is a QUEEN. Stop narrowing her down to just ONE of her traits- being a prefect who follows the rules more often than not. I’m not saying she doesn’t- but she has WAY better traits than just that.
And I’m not saying she had zero flaws. She did, but it’s ok. Don’t make her perfect. But don’t villainize her. You forgive the skittles for being death eaters, Sirius for the prank, but not Lily for being a little angry in someone’s fic?
No one could get me to hate Lily. No one.
I love the idea of James and Barty slowly becoming friends after they run into each other on the Quidditch pitch a few too many times after dark. Eventually, they just start flying with each other, and they will get upset if the other isn't there without informing them. They'll talk about nothing and everything.
James gets so comfortable with Barty that he lets it slip that he's bipolar, a fact that he tries to hide. But before he can even panic, Barty basically says, "Ayy, me too, mate." After that, James may as well have given Barty his heart on a plater because if he was able to share his most uncomfortable secret with him, then he will be able to trust him with his entire soul.
But James doesn't do things by halves. He either goes all in or doesn't do it at all. So it really wasn't a surprise when he ended up falling for Barty. He was slightly scared at first because Barty was a Slytherin and likely wasn't that great of a person outside of their nightly flying but James had never claimed to be a good person either so he just thought, "Fuck it."
Barty knew that something had shifted between them. At first, he couldn’t quite place what was different, but it didn't take him long to figure it out. Admittedly, Barty couldn’t have been more pleased to be the object of James Potter's affection, James was fit and also unnaturally nice. Realistically, Barty should have never had done anything about it, but he's selfish and wanted James more than anything.
So Barty kissed him, and for a couple of seconds, Barty thought he had it all wrong and that James didn't like him, but then his kiss was returned in full force, it almost felt as though James was trying to eat him alive.
After that night, their little escapades continued only with a lot more kissing. Sometimes, that was all they did and would never even make it into the sky. But despite this, there was a lot of unanswered tension and uncertainty between the two. It hung like a shadow over them. James was the first to bring this up a couple of months after it started, but Barty didn't really give a solid answer. It was more shrugs and shallow agreements but this really fucked with James, and he left not long after he arrived.
James wouldn't go back until Barty gave him an answer, but it didn't mean that he wouldn't check on the map to see if Barty was on the pitch and that he was safe. Fortunately, James only had to wait four days for an answer. It came in the form of Barty storming over to James after a Slytherin vs. Gryffindor Quidditch match (Gryffindor won) and snogging James as violently as he could manage, in front of the entire school.
Sure, there were a few comments thrown here and there about it that weren't particularly positive, but Barty didn't seem to care, so neither did James. It certainly helped that their best mates are both from the Black family.
Single dad James having Harry during the week and partially raising him with Regulus. They cook dinner together every day, eat said dinner together, and watch a film (a different one every time) with hot chocolate just before bed. James wakes Harry up every day at 7am while Regulus makes his breakfast, normally porridge or some sort of pastry. After Harry has eaten, Regulus gets him to brush his teeth and get ready before James drags him to school.
Single mum Lily having Harry on the weekends because she works 12 hours shifts on weekdays. She and Mary absolutely spoil him when he's staying with her because she feels guilty for not being able to spend time with him during the week. Oftentimes, during the day, they're either going to an arcade or a cinema, then they go home and make dinner together before settling down to eat in front of the tv with one of Harry's favourite shows. In the morning, Mary will wake Harry up with his favourite music and gentle touches as Lily makes him a fruit plater for breakfast, filled with only his favourite fruits. Lily makes sure to hug Harry as much as possible when she has him to make sure that he knows that she loves him.
it is 4am and all I can think about is dark obsessive jegulus rn.
just hear me out, the cloak and the map? perfect stalking material. Maybe it starts off innocent, James just wanting to check up on Regulus for some reason or James wanting to know more about his best friend's little brother but it spirals out of control quickly. One moment he's watching Regulus' name move on the map, the next he's under the cloak and trying his hardest not to be detected. He's sneaking into the Slytherin dorms, he's trying to figure out how close Regulus' friends actually are to him.
and I feel like I don't have to explain at all for Regulus, I feel his family name and legacy speaks up plenty. Regulus is smart, Regulus is cunning. He caught on quite quickly that he was getting trailed around. Maybe not knowing who at first, but he at least can tell when footsteps not matching his own sound off around him. He mentions wanting one thing, within the week it's his, he mentions doing something but just being too busy, suddenly at least half of his plans are cancelled. He mentions wanting someone gone and suddenly they're just simply buried six feet under. He eats up the power he's given. Then he finds out it's James Potter behind it all and suddenly it just got 10x better.
blah blah blah they're sick freaks and they fall in love and are crazy about each other. Carved their names into each other's skin and EVERYTHING. I just want freak4freak jegulus.
TW: Slight mention of child abuse
I think that Barty would've been a hat stall, and the hat really struggled on where to put him.
Originally, the hat was going to put him in Ravenclaw, but before the hat could even be placed on Barty's head, he was begging to be put in Slytherin. Barty hated the idea of being in Ravenclaw because his father was in that house, and Barty refused to be like his father.
So he begged to be Slytherin, probably the first choice he ever made consciously and something he actually wanted because his father wasn't able to use the imperius curse on him while at Hogwarts. Barty, being Slytherin, was his first small pushback against his father. And the hat had to put him in Slytherin because Barty was more ambitious in his resistance against his father than he could be anything else. Barty wasn't born to be a Slytherin, but he made himself one.
I love the idea of Regulus being just as cocky as Sirius. Like he honestly couldn't give a fuck about what others think about him do he does whatever he wants.
Linking this in with Jegulily makes it so amazing. Like Regulus just outright dating Lily even though she's a muggleborn, not at all scared of the consequences because why would he ever give up the woman he loves for a couple of bigots?
The blood supremacists around him already hated the fact that he was dating a muggleborn, but when he started dating James Potter as well, they all had a fit. Not only was James a blood traitor, but he was also a boy. The amount of insults that the bigots threw at Regulus and James was insane. Not like that was ever gonna stop him because Regulus couldn't care less about what they thought. He was dating the woman and man of his dreams, and he was going to treat them both with the amount of love and respect they deserve. Which was a whole universe's worth.
Jegulily, that starts with Regulily, is so amazing.
Like I can imagine, Regulus started to pursue Lily after Sirius ran away because he thought that James stole Sirius from him on purpose. So he thought that the best way to get revenge was to steal the love of James' life from him.
Lily was so confused by this. Like the heir of the Black family is pursuing her, a muggleborn, seemingly from his own freewill. She couldn't help but be intrigued, so she allowed him to chase her. Admittedly, she had no quarrels directly with him in the first place, so she had no problem with being nice to him from the start because that's how she normally is. It's only when people (James) don't respect her boundaries that she starts to get angsty with them.
However, the most confused is James. He's literally watching his best friends brother steal Lily right in front of him. Without any shame whatsoever, despite the fact that Lily was a muggleborn. Now, James would be the first to admit that Regulus was very fucking attractive, but he had rarely ever gotten butterflies because of him. But when Regulus smirked at him, right after flirting with Lily, James had to admit that he found it really fucking attractive. Looking at Lily afterwards made his butterflies even worse because the cutest blush covered her face. Honestly his face was probably just as red.
When he had started this whole revenge plan, he had never anticipated to actually fall for Lily, but everything fell into place. How couldn't he fall in love with someone as angelic as Lily? From the moment he realised he had actually fallen for Lily, he knew he had to ask her out. Unlike before, he was nervous. He didn't want to be rejected, so it took him roughly two weeks for him to actually work up the courage. It was a Thursday night, and he had found her studying in the library. The slight bags under her eyes contrasted the bright green hue of them. He was mesmerised by her entirely. Without really thinking about it, he had strolled up to her and asked her to go to Hogsmead with him that weekend.
Lily wasn't expecting this at all. She didn't think that his games would actually get this far. She found it cruel at first, making her fall for him just to get back at Potter. Then she saw the earnestness dancing in Regulus' eyes, and how could she say no. He was her equal in every single way imaginable, and she knew that he knew that too.
It had been a while since James actually asked Lily out, partially because he saw how she looked at Regulus and partially because of how he looked at Regulus. Don't get James wrong if he was given the chance he would marry Lily on the spot. But that dream seemingly came to a crashing halt as he saw Regulus and Lily holding hands while walking around Hogsmead with the occasional shy glance passed between the two as Regulus bought Lily literally anything she looked at for more than 2 seconds. His heart had simultaneously stopped and seemingly speed up at the same time. Apparently, James had a thing for his two crushes dating each other despite the heartbreak it also brought him. After his discovery of the two's relationship, he couldn't help but bawk every time he saw them together.
Regulus was not dumb by any means, and neither was Lily. They both knew that James couldn't help but stare at them when they were together (and even when they were alone). Less intelligent people may have thought that James was acting like that because Lily had been stolen from him. But Regulus and Lily are nothing if not smart. They knew that James fancied both of them. And both of them had to begrudgingly admit that they kind of fancied James too.
Ever since the beginning of this, James has been on his best behaviour. He'd been genuinely complimenting Lily without expecting anything in return. He had been secretly ambushing Regulus in the astronomy tower, talking about how much of Regulus' self-hatred was undeserved. Regulus and Lily found it sickening, especially when it actually worked to make them fall for him. Both had been very open with each other when they had started developing actual feelings for James. After a little sobbing session over their stupidity, they came to the conclusion to corner James and ask him to join their relationship.
It was the last thing James expected after Quidditch practice on a Wednesday morning. But that didn't stop him from saying yes almost immediately. I mean, can you blame him? It's the two loves of his live, how could he say anything but no. That's how the three actually became the throuple that the whole school talked about. The muggleborn, the heir to the house of Black, and the bloodtraitor. A truly unstoppable trio and surprisingly disgusting in their public displays of affection, no doubt due to James' doing.
Lily Evans, who is in love with her best friend Mary, who absolutely does not love her and never will because she's straight.
Lily doesn't remember how it started. She just remembers waking up one day and coming to realisation that she was unequivocally in love with Mary. The thought tore her apart from the seems. Mary would never love her back. Ever. Because she was straight, Lily knew that, for a fact, Mary never stopped talking about the hot guys in their year or the year above.
This was going to destroy Lily from the inside out because Lily could never do anything in halves. But this didn't stop her from protecting and nurturing the soft feeling. Now, whenever James would test his luck with her, she would hex him in so many ways because even though she would never ever be with Mary, even entertaining the thought of being with James felt like cheating.
Mary never understood why Lily did this. Lily hopped that she never would because then she might lose the little she receives from Mary. The cuddling in the commonroom when both of them wanted a little extra warmth. The hand holding in the corridors to stop them from getting ripped away from each other in the crowds of fellow students. The occasional cheek or forehead kisses if either one was upset. Lily couldn't lose that. She couldn't.
So she had to date others. She had hoped that she would get over Mary by doing this. But she couldn't. There were five people she dated in the hope of release of the pain of being dangerously in love with her best friend. A ravenclaw boy in fourth year; a hufflepuff boy at the start of fifth year; at the end of fifth year, she dated a sixth year gryffindor girl; throughout sixth year she dated a hufflepuff girl. But they all broke up with her because they knew that she didn't love them.
So she turned to the only person desperate enough to never leave her. James Potter. He had stopped asking her out in fifth year, and she thinks that he had found someone. She was glad for that because then he was able to experience the love that she would never never be able to give him. He was her last chance of freedom, and he gave her the world. She felt awful for using his obvious heartbreak over someone else to get close to him. He didn't deserve it, but he would be able to understand.
It wasn't until their wedding night that he found out that her feelings for him were forced. She was already three months pregnant. There was absolutely no reason he should suspect that she didn't love him. But she couldn't lie to him for the rest of their life. As soon as they were alone, she broke down, apologising repeatedly. All James could do was comfort her, and he did that as he always had, amazingly. She reckoned that she would've loved him if she had never met Mary. And she told him exactly that. He didn't shout or hurt her. He just started crying silently, knowing that it isn't possible to help who you loved. Lily comforted him exactly as he had comforted her, with all the love that she could give him, but unfortunately for James, that love was purely platonic.
After that night, it was almost as if nothing had changed. They both knew that Lily didn't love him but neither cared. They were comforts to each other in their most painful experiences of love: Lily falling in love with her tragically straight best friend and James first true love, leaving him without an inch of regret before dying. Harry certainly helped their dynamic; they both had someone that they loved with their entire beings. Eventually, James had stopped loving Lily too out of respect because that's the kind of person James was, too selfless for his own good.
It wasn't until her last moments with James before their lives were ended that she had truly thanked him for everything that he had done for her. She died entirely grateful of the short escape James had gave her through his selflessness and their child who she held onto in hopes of saving his life so he could grow up and experience the brilliant and painful love that both his parents had before turning to each other in their desperation of escape from their pain.
