Itâs like Iâm stepping into an inflow of traffic. Like Iâm only catching rushed glimpses of his life and Iâve no idea if Iâll be able to keep up.
And there was something...daring about him, like everything he said was a challenge and every step closer an invitation to do something reckless. But I liked it. I liked the way his eyes would linger a second too long, and he would give me that sort of half smile before turning away- the fact he knew I was watching him go.
Fellings are like the tide. They flow in and consume everything in front of them, in slow gentle waves, or rough, aggressive crashes against the shore. But they also pull back, retreat into the vastness of the open ocean and get lost among the opposing currents.
