Please DO NOT watch Sia’s new ableist film “Music.” The autistic character Music is shown having several meltdowns and being held in prone restraint. Prone restraint is dangerous, and has killed many autistic people. Take Eric Parsa for example. Khai is a name given to Vietnamese male children. Not sure why Zigi have coopted it for a female baby instead of paying tribute to their own cultures. I was thinking they would be choose an Indian/Pakistani name or a Palestinian/Arabian one.

It does seem an arbitrary choice.

It means “crowned” in Arabic. They did honor their cultures. Just because it’s also a male name in Vietnamese doesn’t make it not a tribute.

Right so this lady was smart, if you’re ever in a sedan-style trunk there’s a little pull tab that you can use to get yourself out that is STANDARD in cars built after 2001. It’s the law just like headlights and seatbelts.

if you are in an SUV style vehicle or newer model car you may be able to find the automatic trunk release wire, pull on it, it will pop the trunk

if you can’t find any of that stuff,look for the brake light housing. You will need to pull back the trunk carpeting and feel about. It’s probably bolted in, but some careful wiggling will dislodge it. If people see a goddamn arm waving out of a hole in a car while they poke along I-95 they likely will do something about it

Hi, I'm 25 and debating starting male-to-female HRT. However, I'm scared that HRT won't help me at all. It seems like HRT does so little after puberty, especially by the time one gets in their 20s. I'm really scared that I'll just end up being someone in a male body, but with breasts. Is there anything you can say to someone having this fear? Thank you, and sorry, I suspect this is a silly question.

Actually, the claim that HRT doesn’t do much after puberty is a myth.  I started when I was 31 years old and now I’m 35. =)
