Even just thoughts of Mary Jane never failed to make him smile. āYep. Still acting. She said she wouldnāt be satisfied until she won a Tony, and even then she could never see herself giving it up.ā
About the interview⦠āI try to convey that, but all that does is put my - Peter Parkerās - ass on the line with Jameson. Sales are plummeting and heās been on me nearly every day for any scoop that could boost sales. Itās exhausting, Harry.ā
He smiled in regards to his appreciation for his aunt. āOnly time will tell, as her doctors have been telling me. She could make a complete recovery⦠or will need to be moved to a long-term care facility indefinitely. We just donāt know yet.ā
The doppelgƤnger of his life-long friend made no sudden movements. He wasnāt in the least bit a threat, yet his words were enough to trigger Peterās sixth sense. Because - in essence - they were participating (even if only vocally and at a volume no more than a whisper) in something (potentially) dangerous.
Peter checked all around his surroundings - making sure nobody was eavesdropping on their conversation before placing his cup back onto the table with an anxious sigh.
āWhere exactly were you obtaining this⦠medication, Harry?ā
If it was anybody else who had told him this information, had implied the request for assistance in theft of medication, Peter probably would have (gently) tried to ease them into a different direction for help.
But, when it was Harry Osbornās desperate voice asking for that same assistance⦠Peterās moral compass seemed nonexistent after deep consideration.
āI⦠canāt go as him. I canāt wear the suit, if I was to do this. And Iāll need another disguise, but⦠Christ, I cannot believe Iām about to agree to this but⦠Where exactly are we looking at, and what exactly does our time frame look like, Harry?ā
there was a small moment where harry was processingĀ what peter just said. he had tried not to implyĀ that he wanted peter toĀ stealĀ for him; and ⦠well, he didnāt want peter to steal for him; that felt wrong on so many levels. but ⦠the fact that this guy had immediately gone for it; because harry was harry, showed exactly what kind of headspace peter was in. the guy had practically accepted him as harry, at this point. another chance, maybe ??Ā
but harry was still in a betterĀ frame of mind; still chaotic; still vulnerable, but better, and he knew enough to just shake his head.Ā Ā Ā āĀ Ā i donāt want you to steal for me, pete. i donāt ā- have an alternative, but i donāt want you to steal.Ā Ā āĀ Ā but he needed that medication. not only did it have a tonne of side effects if you stopped suddenly, but ⦠his body would change. probably. he didnāt know; he hadnāt been in a position to find outĀ until now. but if he was scared of one thing, it was that.
āĀ Ā iāve got about a week left ??Ā Ā āĀ Ā he conveniently forgotĀ to respond to how he was obtaining it before. because if he was going to try and be better, then ā- that wasnāt an option.Ā Ā Ā āĀ Ā and uh, itāsā-Ā Ā āĀ Ā he was unsure on telling peter he was trans, but he didnāt have a choice. as for the rest of the world though; he paused, and turned his attention to his person; pattingĀ himself down and finding his medication box. he found it, and slid it over to him. it was habit. donāt say it out loud. drilled into him by you know who. and it had worked so far for him.
