MY HERO ACADEMIA DR ᢉ𐭩 being born to a scientist father who creates support items for heroes, MAYUMI FLORES grew up surrounded by pro heroes and dazzling acts of bravery. among them all, none shone brighter in her eyes than ALL MIGHT . ever since she was little, she dreamed of becoming just like them, someone who could stand at the front lines and save people with a smile. after all, heroes were the reason she survived an accident that nearly claimed her life when she was younger.
゛⸝⸝ ⋆ ꩜ unfortunately, her quirk hardly seemed fit for hero work. her quirk, LOVE POINTS , only allowed her to see the amount of “love” a person accumulated throughout their lifetime. because of that, people constantly discouraged her from pursuing combat heroics, insisting she should remain behind the scenes like her father. mayumi held no resentment toward people that support heroes, she deeply admired her father’s work, but she longed to stand beside heroes like ALL MIGHT or her uncle, SHOTA AIZAWA (although he rather not be bombarded by paparazzi), rather than simply support them from afar.
゛⸝⸝ ⋆ ꩜ but there was something strange about her quirk. the total amount of love points a person possessed often reflected how successful they would become in the future. heroes, celebrities, public figures, those adored by society all carried staggering amounts of love points. because of this, people frequently approached MAYUMI asking whether they were destined for greatness. yet MAYUMI own love points far surpassed anyone she had ever seen. even heroes. and that could only mean one thing… right?
࣭ 𑄹 𓈒 ֺ ONE DAY, while running an errand at seven years old, mayumi spotted a truck barreling down the road at full speed toward an elderly woman crossing the street. without hesitation, she sprinted forward and threw herself in front of the woman, shielding her from the incoming vehicle.
she squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for impact. but the collision never came. seconds passed in silence. confused, mayumi slowly opened her eyes, only for a gasp to escape her lips. surrounding both her and the elderly woman was a translucent pink dome, shimmering softly like glass made of light. the truck had crashed directly into it instead.
then, a transparent pop up window suddenly filled her vision. in it is a huge ‘-50 love points’ with her current love points at the bottom, less than what she remembered.
and for the first time in her life, mayumi realized her quirk was far more than simply watching people’s attraction levels.
QUIRK: LOVE POINTS ᢉ𐭩 mayumi can see the “love points” people accumulate throughout their lives, both the amount they currently possess and the total amount they are destined to gain in the future. love points are generated through affection, admiration, trust, and emotional bonds. a single person can contribute enormous amounts depending on how deeply they care for someone, whether as family, friends, admirers, or lovers.
࣭ 𑄹 𓈒 ֺ however, mayumi later discovers that her quirk possesses a second ability. she can convert accumulated love points into a substance she calls solidified love , a pink energy-like material she can freely manipulate into different forms and textures. she can make it soft and elastic like jelly or hard and durable like steel. she can also transform her love points into concentrated energy blasts, firing pink heart-shaped projectiles whose strength depends entirely on the amount of love points consumed. the more love points she uses, the stronger her constructs and attacks become.
ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 .ᐟ but her quirk comes with a severe drawback. everything she creates consumes love points proportional to the weight, durability, and power of the object or attack. once her love points are depleted, she temporarily loses access to her quirk altogether and must wait hours for her reserves to naturally recover.
the moment mayumi’s mother learned that her daughter’s power depended entirely on the amount of love she received, she immediately prompts mayumi to, in her words, “go out there and show them your cuteness !”
mayumi was pushed into modeling for her mother’s fashion brand, rapidly gaining public attention and admiration. by the age of thirteen, her love point reserves had skyrocketed to absurd levels. seeing the potential in her quirk, her mother sent her to japan to train under her uncle, aizawa. unfortunately for mayumi, training with the eraser hero proved far more brutal than she anticipated.
during a break between training sessions, denki kaminari, hanta sero, and mina ashido tried brainstorming ways to help mayumi replenish her love points faster without having to wait hours for recovery. that was when kaminari suddenly snapped his fingers.
“what if we just bombard her with compliments?” he said. “wouldn’t that basically create a love-point glitch?”
the other two stared at him in stunned silence before immediately applauding as if it were the first intelligent thing the blonde had ever contributed.
the three instigators quickly searched for someone to test their theory on and eventually landed on eijiro kirishima. once they explained the plan, kirishima frowned. “why can’t you guys do it yourselves?”
the trio exchanged knowing looks.
“because you’re the only one who can pull it off naturally.”
“maybe your manliness will boost her love points faster,” Sero added thoughtfully. “just… don’t call her manly.”
from across the room, mayumi chatted innocently with izuku midoriya and ochaco uraraka, completely unaware of the scheme unfolding nearby.
kirishima awkwardly approached her.
confused, mayumi looked up, only for him to suddenly clasp both of her hands in his and stare directly into her eyes and immediately bombarded her with multiple compliments, barely pausing to breathe between sentences.
“your eyes are really pretty.” “your hair looks amazing today.” “you’re seriously one of the coolest people in class—” by the time he reached his tenth compliment, mayumi’s entire face had turned violently red. and before anyone could react she exploded into pink sparks and collapsed onto the floor.
“mayumi?!” Uraraka yelped.
“should we take her to recovery girl?!” midoriya panicked.
meanwhile, kaminari, sero, and ashido huddled together in confusion. “wait… does this mean the theory worked?”
“did we accidentally trigger her drawback?”
as chaos erupted around them, the three were left thinking as uraraka, midoriya and kirishima were flustered on what to do with the poor mayumi who seemed to passed out. the trio speculates to be due to a drawback from being complimented too much to the point her attraction meter couldn’t handle it.
except, mayumi didnt passed out because of her quirk… she just simply short circuited from the overwhelming embarrassment of being showered with affection by the boy who she is attracted to.
quirk inspired by operation true love ! (the concept of seeing love points and barely even showing it is quite disheartening sobs) the last part came to me in a dream, so it might as well be my dr memories trying to bring me back to focus on my mha dr.
