Hi Tumblr! I'm a wannabe author by the name of A. E. Fletcher! I write during my long workdays to ensure I never give up on my pursuit of a creative life outside the corporate world I've been born into. On this blog I mostly faff and rant about daily life, or anything that comes to mind. This is an unserious little journal I put my private thoughts and life into for funzies. Literally me thinking up so weird shippery I have to wait forever to actually write and put into my series

Should I be bad and let my weird and funny imaginary character interactions make into this chapter so we can all have a lil hehe about my silly OCs or should I reel it in fam?

I love my stupid frigging characters and their bullshit lol. Never a dull moment with them all and the way they bounce off each other. I just have to remember to reel it into and stay somewhat grounded in the story and stakes and not let my goofy cartoonish interactions take over

Good morning y’all! I’m gunna be working Saturday but I’m honestly chill about it lol. My new jobs pretty alright. And the book is really coming together! I am plot mapping chapter 6 and pretty hyped for it!

if you have to use ai, make sure you... wait a second. why do you have to use ai? what possible situation means you cannot write it yourself? is there a gun to your head? 'have to' use ai. that's a good one. fuck off

Writing one of my favorite characters to be super punchable for an extended period of time before redeeming themselves because I love being contrarian like that

My main characters basically:

Melody: a do-gooder with a heart of gold but significant neurodivergence and issues coordinating and communicating with others, a bit of a perfectionist

Calvin: a softboi nerd who loves all things robotics and is really interested in tech, is often peer pressured into acting masculine but has a gentle and sensitive spirit

Marcus: a big beefy macho older brother to Calvin who is kind of reckless and prone to immature decisions. Loves to party and is mostly a fun person to be around but not good for having deep conversations with.

Andromeda (Andy): Tough, slightly stand offish and totally fearless person with a nurturing personality. Fierce eyes and hard to read face, but actually very caring and quick to make friends with new people.

Garrett: Stoic introvert with keen talents and strong morals. Silently loyal to others, quiet but deeply unselfish and strategically supportive. Awkwardly muted and verbally stilted in social settings.

Skylar: Abrasive and rash. Nihilist with no self preservation and general abhorrence for people. Enjoys provoking others in albeit small and insignificant ways due to being ostracized early in life. Deeply rebellious and values disrupting the systems at power. Petulant but harmless.

Omg almost 7k words and chapter 5 is chapterriiiing everyone!!

Chapter 5 is nearing 6k words for a total manuscript of about 43k words! So much is set in motion and I’m excited! It’s all just steadily coming together!

Pushing through reading that damn book I still find dull and unhelpful because I hate myself apparently lol. But chapter 5 of my own work is looking quite nice at around 5k words before final edits. The total manuscript is nearing 42k which is awesome. So we keep pushing!
