what "no sugar added" should mean: the natural sugars of the other ingredients like fruit are the only source of sweetness in this product
what is actually means: we added a fuckton of artificial sweeteners
i see we are all angry about this
you can just feel the self-congratulatory glee of whoever named this paint this color, like they truly thought they were so funny and i think you're so funny paint color naming man good job paint man
never use this color on a wall you're going to be living with for a while, it looks okay at first but holy shit man
Okay, but don't leave this in the tags, man.
teamwork makes the dream work
I got this while scrolling on instagram to try to convince me to join threads and I—
We did it. We finally saved her.
so i just watched the hadestown proshot and holy fucking shit i truly think that that is the best proshot i have ever seen so here are some specific things i really loved
amber gray's expressions just wow. she is so expressive and such a phenomenal actress
the way the fates appeared behind orpheus during wait for me
how every time during group numbers the camera focused on a certain person you could hear their vocals more clearly than everyone else
all of the fates
wait for me reprise in 4k with peak sound holy shit eva noblezada i love you so much
the cracking noises during wait for me when the walls opened up
the shots from above/below the stage
how during doubt comes in all the shots were primarily close ups of orpheus so it was hard to tell where eurydice was
one of the people in my theater shouting "NO" when orpheus turned around
literally so many more things i could talk about this proshot for ages
please i beg if you have not/are not intending on seeing it to watch it it is a masterpiece
god i love hadestown so much and this recording is next level. oh my god. oh my GOD.
SUCH A GOOD PROSHOT !! i normally have gripes when they change the camera/angles frequently bc i want to be able to see the whole stage as if i were at the theater, but. they did such a good job with it in this filming! the editing was so dynamic & in tune with the actors’ movements that it elevated rather than distracted
i love u hadestown proshot i love u close ups on the musicians i love u costume details i love u staging details i love u light design details i love u turntable i love u patrick page's boot i love u married reeve & eva in these roles i love u hadestown and ur message of hope despite it all i love u musicals i love u i love u mwah
Cannot possibly explain how feral I feel about the Hadestown proshot having so many shots that include the audience. Because they’re as much of a part of the story as Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone are. Because they are there watching however they’re powerless to do anything except watch because that’s just the way the story goes but they sing it anyways and and and
people always talk about the doomed love timeloop when they talk about hadestown. look i love that shit as much as the next homosexual but can we please talk about the revolutionary politics. genuinely one of the best anticapitalist pieces of art of the 21st century. can we watch act 2 with our brains please
I love him your honor, he’s so silly
ya know i am genuinely curious how spider-noir is being so slept on.

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.
thinking about coptic mummy paintings and weeping
like. i know these people
These were produced from around the time of the Roman annexation of Egypt in the late 1st century BC to around the Christianization of the Roman Empire in the 3rd century CE.
They were a continuation of the Egyptian tradition of funerary masks but rather than sculpting them and making them of precious metals, they began painting these lifelike portraits.
It’s hotly debated whether this is an example of Greco-Roman realist style imposed on their subjects, or a home grown Egyptian development of their own ancient tradition. Those who say it’s more Egyptian than Roman point out that there’s no surviving paintings in the rest of the Roman Empire that were this realistic. Those who say it’s more Roman than Egyptian point out the arid climate left these portraits intact, and beleive the others in the rest of the empire were lost.
Personally I think you can call them Egyptian because these people, whether of Roman or ancient Egyptian descent, are still the ancestors of the modern Egyptians today.
Despite the realism you can see a slight exaggeration of the eyes, smoothing of the skin and inclusion of certain important objects around the subject’s head. It’s a pattern that would get more and more pronounced until it became the style of Byzantine iconography in the Orthodox Christian Church
YOOOO manic breakdown POSTPONED LOOK AT THIS THING
