—-------------( day 0/ the party/the disappearance)-----------------------
It's been two days since me and Geto met the sorcerer Kuroyuki tengu.
His cursed technique was cursed possession,
The ability to channel his cursed energy in any form of weapon that he wishes to.
Even broken blades can be used as his cursed energy just takes the form of the blade.
It's pretty powerful I'll give him that, but he just gives me the creeps.
Everytime I look at him. The six-eyes just keeps warning me to run away or attack.
Who was this guy?
“Saturo!!! You ready??!!” Geto called from outside the room.
I look at the mirror in the room. To check myself out
The black tux suit that Geto had gifted me looked stunning.
Black overall coat hung loosely over the black vest and white shirt. A black tie with small silver flowers embroidered at the end.
The small bead work of an artic fox on the pocket was glimmering in the light of the setting sun.
It looked perfect on me.
Suguru really knows what I like.
I smiled as I exited the room, wearing the light blue circular shades.
And I was met with the sight of Geto.
He wore a black turtle neck shirt and beige pants with a black silver belt. A gold black knot charm with crystal beads was clipped to the side of the belt.
He had an open buttoned trench coat, the colour matching the pants, had embroidery and bead work of storks in flight on the back.
His hair was in a half up bun and he had a long dangling, gold and black knot charm hanging from the hair stick he had placed to keep the bun up.
How the hell was he so…. So…….so…..
Hot??!!
Am I wrong for thinking that about my best friend??!!
I must have stared for too long.
“Like what you see.. big boy~??” he teased, drawing back his trench coat slightly to show off the rest of his body.
My face turned hot and I gulped loudly.
“You look g-good.” I stuttered out. Hating the way my voice cracked.
He just chuckled.
“Thanks for the compliment. We’ve got to go right now. If we don’t, we’re going to be late. Remember you’re driving”
I regained my composure and went towards the parking lot and unlocked my car.
A Mercedes-AMG GT. With white body and black detailing.
I opened the passenger's side.
I looked at Geto. “Ladies first~”
He looked unamused by that and gave me a wicked side eye, but got in anyway.
I closed his side and got in the driver's side.
I started the engine. It roared to life and we drove through the road.
————————————————[time skip]——————————————
The party was at Tapas molecular bar, a high-end eatery. The reservation was 6:45 pm.
The drive was silent. I felt that familiar feeling of being stared at. I looked everywhere through the mirrors, but there was no one. At one point it had started to drizzle lightly.
We reached there around 6:35 and I pulled into the parking lot. Rain still pouring.
Both of us could see the cars belonging to all our friends and acquaintances.
I checked the rear view mirror one last time. Nothing.
Maybe I don't have to be so on guard, but that feeling hasn't abated.
The hair at the back of my head stood up when someone touched my hand.
I looked to my left. Geto’s hand was on mine. I was gripping the steering wheel tight. He was worried.
I made him worried.
“Gojo. Are you really alright??” He asked, softly.
“Yeah, I'm good,” I smiled. It was strained, even I could feel it.
“Gojo….” he warned, slightly tightening the hold on my hand.
“I'm fine. I’m fine. Really” I sigh, knowing he won't let it go until I give him a reasonable response.
“Look. I promised I'll explain everything after the party right?” He nodded, uncertain.
“I will, Alright. I'll tell you everything after this party. We can go to Shinjuku Gyoen. It's the best place to be alone. I will explain everything. Please, I'll be fine.”
He didn't look convinced but let go of my hand and proceeded to exit the car.
I followed by getting out of the car, pulling out an umbrella for Geto and heading for the main lobby.
I held the umbrella above his head, not bothering about the rain falling on me. The infinity will take care of it.
We entered the lobby and Geto told the reservation number and we were escorted to our table. Most of the guests were there, including Shoko who had said that she wasn't coming.
Looking back that was the first sign of all this mess
Kuroyuki Tengu greeted us as we sat down.
The table was impeccable. Expensive food was laid out in small portions on the table, wine poured in tall, slender glasses.
Everyone was chilling in the room. The ambience would have been calming if it were not for the constant feeling of being watched.
People were talking but none touched their food. Even Nanami, who usually ate everything before talking.
Geto had gone to the rest room, I was alone at a table full of eyes that made the six-eyes act crazy.
The amount of information on how hostile each person could potentially be was overwhelming. I tried to tone it down, but it just kept flaring back up.
I was in danger in a room full of familiar faces.
Geto came back, but something about him felt off.
He was the only one the six-eyes didn't register as a threat, but now he had highest priority.
The room felt suffocating. I suddenly felt an unknown pressure pressing down on me.
I couldn't breathe.
I needed air.
I needed to run.
I stood up. I started to walk to the nearest balcony.
“Gojo, where are you going??” It was Geto. But I didn't need to turn around to know the person who called out to me wasn't him.
This voice was just a touch too delicate.
A touch too sharp.
A touch. Too cold.
I walked fast and sharp away from the table.
Away from the multiple distorted voices. They weren't the people I know.
Away from the imposters wearing Geto's face.
I could feel it, someone was after me. Fast.
I rushed out of the eatery, not even bothering with the car.
I just ran as far away as I could and finally teleported out of there, to the park.
There I was met with a world with no colours.
I mean it literally, black and white.
Everything was frozen in place. The birds, stuck mid flight, people, frozen mid step or jog.
The world that had been loud was dead silent.
The six-eyes was screaming at me.
A small chuckle sounded from behind me.
I turned my head towards the voice slowly.
Eyes blown wide open to process the information around me.
“You’re a pain in the ass to capture, you know that.”
He smiled, his scar twisting in a way that made my skin crawl.
Kuroyuki Tengu stood in front of me with his long sword out and looked like it was aflame with the amount of cursed energy it was put into it.
My six-eyes could finally get a read on him.
He wasn't human.
In fact he was supposed to be alive.
This guy was a dead man walking.
“You” I whispered. “What the fuck are you?”
He just kept grinning like he had all the time in the world.
“I” he said, pointing at himself “am your worst nightmare, Saturo Gojo.”
He pointed at me and suddenly I couldn't move. It was like my body was paralyzed.
“And you are my prey”
He moved fast. Very fast. Very fast and dangerously accurate.
I was nearly impaled through the heart by that blade.
Nearly.
My body finally remembered it could move and jerked away to the side, avoiding the blow by a mere centimetres.
The cursed energy of his, sorry, ‘it’s’ blade burned through my infinity like it was paper.
As soon as I dodged and stabilized my footing I used curse energy manipulation to throw blows at it in every direction possible.
It dodged. Every. Single. One.
It laughed out loud. A full blown belly laugh of amusement, like I was a toy it found funny to play with.
“For someone with the six-eyes you sure are blind, Saturo Gojo”
Safe to say, I was starting to get pissed.
The fight lasted for maybe 10 minutes max.
But it felt like an eternity.
He suddenly stopped.
that smile returned to his face.
“I'll let you say good bye”
I blinked and he was gone.
The world was back to normal. People were gone. The colour was back.
That presence which suffocated me was gone.
But that feeling of being watched still lingered and it was late into the night
How long have I been gone??
I don't think I care any more.
I felt like I was being timed.
The six-eyes were warning me that I don't have time.
Something was after me.
And I….
Was not going to survive it.
I walked.
My head was pounding.
Legs screaming at me with every step I took.
Arms numb with pain, body exhausted from the amount of running I did to escape those nights where the curses chased after me until sunrise, Mornings where my own home felt like a trap.
I took out my phone. My hands shivering.
The battery was at 5%.
That was enough for one final call.
I hope he could forgive me.
YASSSSSSS!!!!! I finally finished the art of this part. I really hope y’all like it. Creating Gojo’s and geto’s outfits wear a whole different story.
