honestly I get why Jax is that way. she's fucking insufferable but imagine what she's like on the inside.
āSo... We got the exploding diarrhea. Here's my advice for anyone who doesn't have it yet:
It's going to take a minute for the government to pin down where this is coming from, and then issue a recall, because the FDA has been gutted. But, I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt : this is coming from Taylor Farms produce, and you will see them recalled.
You'll want to avoid all Taylor Farms produce in the grocery store. They supply McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, about any fast food place you can think of.
Raspberries, watermelons, cilantro, and the veggies you're hearing about are not causing this many people to get sick. It's the shredded lettuce, specifically, that's the problem. But, you'll want to stay away from every type of produce this company puts out, because one strand of shredded lettuce is all it takes to contaminate bushels.
Taylor Farms is the source. Taco Bell proactively pulled their produce from their restaurants. You're going to see other fast food places doing this, and probably will see that before the government names a source. The FDA knows this, but they can't come out and tell us all until there's proof, which takes resources and research, which takes manpower, but the FDA has been cut by about 20-30%
During the Biden term, onions at McDonald's had ecoli. We knew this because DNA testing was done quickly and they were able to narrow it down to one place that caused the outbreak. And, it was traced back to Taylor Farms. This isn't going to be solved as quickly though.
When you get this, make a virtual appointment to your PCP - a "same day sick" appointment. Tell them someone in your family just tested for this and was positive and was prescribed Bactrim. If you go in person, they're probably going to make you poop in a cup and wait until results come back to prescribe.
You'll know when you get this. Trust me on all of this.
You'll want to stay hydrated because this parasite damages the lining of the small intestine. Your small intestine, in turn, secretes more water into the gut, and less nutrients and liquid are able to remain in the body. So no matter how much you shit, you're going to want to drink. A day of this leads to dehydration if you don't increase your fluid intake, and a few days will land you in the hospital.
If you have headaches, weakness, muscle cramps, dizziness, or an increase heart rate - hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Go to the ER for fluids if you can't drink enough.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Brought to you by America's 250 birthday celebrations, workforce reduction in the FDA and CDC, and viewers like you.
Please feel free to share this.
And, MAGA - don't blow up the comment section. I argued with y'all on COVID bc I was afraid y'all would die, but I really don't care if you get explosive diarrhea.
And no, ivermectin will not help this at all.ā
please read this even if you're not indian. especially if you're not indian.
you've seen the jokes. india is "dirty", indians are "everywhere", why don't they fix their own country. ok. let me tell you why, and what's happening right now while nobody's watching.
first, the history you skipped: britain ruled india for two centuries and drained it. economist utsa patnaik's research estimates around $45 trillion in today's money was taken. the india that got independence in 1947 was one of the poorest countries on earth. every "why is india like this" question starts there. you don't get to profit off a robbery and then mock the crime scene.
now, what's happening RIGHT NOW:
in may the question paper for NEET leaked. that's the national medical entrance exam. over 2.2 million students took it. cancelled. years of studying, families' savings poured into coaching, gone overnight because someone sold the paper. students died by suicide after. these were kids who wanted to be doctors.
and out of that came a protest movement. a gen z group called the cockroach janta party, started by a 30 year old named abhijeet dipke, got 22 million instagram followers within DAYS. they've been doing a sit-in at jantar mantar in delhi demanding education minister dharmendra pradhan resign.
and then there's sonam wangchuk. if you've watched 3 idiots, he's the real engineer the character was based on. built solar schools in ladakh. invented ice stupas so himalayan villages have water. spent his whole life on education. he's 59 and he's been on hunger strike for 17+ days now. reporters went to see him this week and he was too weak to talk. and the troll armies are calling him "anti national" and "foreign funded". a man starving himself for other people's children. that's the thing here, anyone who asks a question is suddenly a traitor.
it's not one incident, it's everywhere you look:
⢠infrastructure worth thousands of crores failing within months of the ribbon cutting. tunnels collapsing in regions where heavy rain is a guarantee, not a surprise.
⢠youth unemployment near 10% for ages 15 to 29, 13.6% in cities. in a country of 1.42 billion where more than half the population is young.
⢠only about the top 3% of indians earn above 10 lakh a year. meanwhile billionaire wealth keeps ballooning and the headlines celebrate it.
⢠manipur burned for over two years. an ethnic conflict, tens of thousands displaced, and the prime minister barely said the word manipur while it happened.
⢠journalists raided. critics' houses bulldozed. activists sitting in jail for years without trial under laws like UAPA. our press freedom ranking has cratered.
⢠even the petrol is a fight now, ethanol blending pushed through while drivers complain about their engines and get no straight answers.
and through all of it, the PM, who came to power on religious polarisation (americans, sound familiar?), travels abroad for photo ops and has not held one single open press conference in over a decade. not one.
what i'm asking:
if you're not indian: share this. our media mostly won't cover any of it because the big outlets are owned by the same billionaires the government serves. the only reason wangchuk's fast is getting any coverage is people refusing to look away.
if you ARE indian: speak up even if you're comfortable. especially if you're comfortable. join the protests. add to this, correct me, translate it. staying quiet is a choice when nothing in this post touches your life.
india is not "dirty". india was robbed, and it's being robbed again, from the inside this time. but it's also the country where a 59 year old will starve for strangers' kids and 22 million young people will rally behind a party literally named after cockroaches, because cockroaches survive everything.
we can still save her. but only loudly.
reblog. share. don't scroll past.
what is it with gay people and space?
peter parker is canonically transmasc
genuinely cant tell if i feel like im babying/being manipulated by my partner, im returning to black and white thinking or Im... well the third thing is hard to explain.
i just dont know how you find the discernment to know what you want when you've been healing from a history in which you had every reason to run.
i was misdiagnosed as having different rage and defiance disorders my entire childhood bc every white psyche and doctor i saw only saw me as black and nothing else, they saw black ppl as inherently violent and stupid and could not picture me being autistic and dealing with delusions, and u think race has nothing to do with it?
sitting in queer spaces is always so difficult unless they are specifically black queer spaces because my identities all intersect and my truest sense of self sits in the middle somewhere BUT the reality of how I have to move through the world is that I'm black first. so it's like yeah, people are transphobic and awful toward gooseworx and she is being held to different standards than her cis counterparts especially her cis men counterparts...
BUT her and her white team laughing at racism is kind of my priority so it's also very fuck her. it's not like she shouldn't be held to the standards of being a better person. all the other white fuckers should just also be held to those standards but half the time it sounds like y'all would rather she just not be held to those standards until the men are held to those standards as if that makes any fucking sense.
so it's really fuck everybody at that point honest š¤·š¾
sounds like ass š©· how much do you want to bet carrie wonāt purposefully kill anyone in this version
omg it's almost like you could have just WRITTEN SOMETHING FUCKING NEW YOU PIECES OF SHIT I'M SO TIRED OF THIS I'M SO TIRED OF THIS OH MY GOD I WANT TO PUNCH EVERYONE IN HOLLYWOOD IN THE FACE I WANT THEM TO LINE THE FUCK UP AND I WANT TO KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.
stop doing this. you bullshit baby ass cowards. I don't give a fuck about what interesting ideas you have riding on the coattails of someone who actually did something original. stop giving me remakes. stop giving me spin-offs stop giving me fucking LIVE ACTIONS. Major studios keeping bitching about no one showing up for their original movies and TV shows as if they're not giving us absolute fucking slop and neutering the actual creativity of their writers because they're so scared to stand on any fucking thing. oh but the numbers say they just have to keep using already existing IP so that they can have a built-in fucking fan base and don't have to do any work you lazy capitalist bums!!!!
I think I am actually terrified of saying anything wrong, and like. yeah, sure. there's a fear of public consequences, but I think more than that, it's like an internal feeling of being paralyzed just for the fear of being wrong itself as if if I say something wrong or make a mistake. I'm bad. evil, awful. I wonder what that is š
X ātrans men MUST have male privilege because cis men have male privilege. If you say trans men DONāT have male privilege then you must not see trans men as real men!ā
-defines manhood through a cissexist framework and tries to force trans menās experiences to fit within that framework. denies the manhood of any trans man whose experiences cannot be easily mapped onto cis men.
ā ātrans men ARE real men, but they are not granted systemic access to male privilege, and whatever benefits individual trans men ARE able to access are limited and highly conditional. We should expand our understanding of men/masculinity to better account for their unique experiences.ā
-acknowledges trans men as men first and foremost. accounts for the material reality of trans menās experiences and expands our understanding of manhood accordingly.
According to fox entertainment this is who we should be afraid of. I didn't know who Francesca Hong was 10 minutes ago but thankfully now I'm aware of this monster and her monsterous policies
Hey Wisconsin šš¾
The world needs more compassion, genuinely more than anything else. it doesn't need you to be more right. it doesn't need you to be more angry. it doesn't need you to break yourself or others more, it needs more compassion from every living being. that doesn't mean don't be angry. that doesn't mean don't fight but my God....
it feels like nobody knows how to talk to each other. nobody knows how to fucking emotionally regulate. nobody knows how to consider nuance. nobody knows how to respect people on a basic human level, whether you like them or not. furthermore, compassion doesn't mean that everybody's going to coddle your fucking feelings and understanding doesn't mean you will be excused. I would just love if we all remembered that so much of our politic and activism is meant to be informed by the fact that we care. we give a shit what happens to others. we give a shit what happens to our environment. we give a shit about protecting our communities and we give a shit about ourselves. every system in this world is built to have us forget that. which is why it's so damn hard for all of us to remember. for those of us sitting at the intersection of multiple oppressed identities, I know it's not just anger. it is exhaustion. and we're human so sometimes we fuck up. sometimes we lash out but remember to come back to yourself. it is never too late to take accountability whether people forgive you or not. it is never too late to do the right thing. not because that means everything's going to work out all sunshine and rainbows now but because it is the right thing. because we care.
going on my first out of the country vacation. I'm going to scream, cry and throw up
if I had a catchphrase it would probably be words mean things.
it eats me up inside when people do not use words clearly and correctly because I feel it is what breeds a lot of confusion and sometimes even harm. like how we call everyone who sexually abuses children pedophiles. pedophilia is a clinical term that is meant to reference these people who are plagued with this attraction to children and a pedophile is not automatically an offender.
I have an issue with this because lots of these Epstein fuckers and people like them, whether the 1% or not, are not pedophiles. this is not a mental illness. they are getting off on power or access or taboo or opportunity but it is only to do with their desires and willingness to do harm. a clinician would not treat them the same and neither should we. people would argue that I'm getting hung up on words and they're trying to protect kids, but outrage is not protecting children.
we can't even get y'all to understand that killing all pedophiles isn't helpful policy even when you are referring to child sexual abusers. I'm sure lots of people want to help children. I'm sure most people wish no child would ever experience this harm, but you're not listening, you're not paying attention. you're refusing to understand that your preconceived notions about these topics are often incorrect and lacking necessary clarity and are unhelpful!!!
