TVD Appreciation Week | Day 2, Favorite Relationship: Bonnie/Damon
Bamon edit of the day!
Every time I see this scene I just think of “Adverse Effects” and “What Lies Beneath.” Either way, God I wanted more of this! Bamon working together (even if it’s murder) is sooo much fun.
He lets her be a little crazy!
Bonnie Bennett’s Hobbies (outside of witchcraft)
I headcanon that because Rudy was away all the time and Grams likely worked on campus a lot (which seems to be at least an hour away from the town), Bonnie was signed up for a bunch of after school extracurriculars to make sure she wasn’t home alone all the time.
Kat Graham apparently knows French, Spanish and Portuguese, so I think it’s fitting that she would know a bunch of languages. Plus it probably would have helped her with all those spells.
Bonnie x Klaus_
Regarding Bonnie being sexual I definitely think she’s more of a “I want to be in a relationship with the person” type than a s1 Caroline type. I’m glad fics give her what was denied in canon.
The decision to americanize the salvatores, make them slave owners, have their era be during the civil war and have them be on the side of the confederacy was very interesting.
those writers were so scared to let Bonnie serve big curly girl looks
Bonnies's dad being protective of her and not wanting her to always be halping elena would hit differently if he was ever fucking around, I still do not understand the decision to not write bonnie's dad in the show up until now
Bonnie has lost her grandma, reunited with her mother and abandoned by her mother again yet her dad was no where to be found?
I heard one of the directors was racist, no wonder they had no interest in writing about bonnie's home life but they explored the home life of the white characters
Remember guys most tvd fans dont disagree with Julie’s writing per se. They dislike she didn’t give them their endgames (Klaroline and Stelena). They eat up every other narrative that show puts out, especially when it comes to Bonnie!
“Something I won’t ever forgive Julie for is not making Klaroline endgame! She knew they’d overshadow whatever Delena had going on (insults Elena)!”
“Something I won’t ever forgive Julie for is making Steroline get married! Stefan belonged with Elena(insults Caroline)!”
It’s always “i hate Julie Plec” from those types of fans yet whenever you start to unpack why Julie is disliked due to her writing narratives or on going weirdness & racism outside of the show suddenly what she does and write say relating to Bonnie makes sense
Tried explaining why I think Bonlena was super unbalanced once to an Elena Stan and they kept calling me misogynistic like OK!
Was just thinking about how they didn’t really have Rebekah interact with Bonnie the way she did with Caroline and Elena. The envy Rebekah had for Caroline and Elena, the bitchy back and forth… there are people who ship Elena and Rebekah because of this tension! It was all very high school but the point is that Bonnie wasn’t really included.
Not saying she should have had a similar dynamic with Rebekah, but it’s just another way they left Bonnie out as a regular teenage girl. Sure, the ire was coming from a 1000+ year old but yeah.
Unfinished Business pt.III (ft. an angsty bamon argument)
“Back in the prison world, if I had kissed you… would you have kissed me back?”
Bonnie doesn’t look away from the changing screen. “No.”
“Well. That answered my question,” says Damon, not bothering to mask his offence.
Bonnie points the remote at the TV, shutting the colour to black. “You had a girlfriend. A girlfriend who loved you so damn much she had to erase her memories just to cope with your death—”
“Exactly, Bon! We were dead! We were trapped in eternal purgatory for all we knew. We could have been having sex like that,” he gestures vaguely upstairs, “every fucking day!”
“Why are you angry with me!?”
“I’m angry with everything!” It’s a shock to the system, this anger. But now he sees it, how it viciously begs for attention, and Bonnie is the only one he has left to listen. “I’m angry that my brother is dead when it should have been me! I’m angry that I tried to make things work with Elena when I should have been with you, and fine! Yes! I’m angry with you Bonnie. I’m angry that you just left! You left me, and all I got was a fucking postcard every couple months. Stupid, impersonal postcards! I didn’t care that you were in Paris, or London, or Naples — I wanted you home.”
