In my au, the Octo-Agents live on the Reef Base in the way the Octonauts live on the Octopod - while the agents do travel around a lot more often than the Octonauts themselves, they spend their leisure time at the Reef Base socializing and resting with one another,,, so in my head, they deserve to each have their own friendships and dynamics between one another :] and perhaps even a few romances >:] (cuz if you know anything about me, you know I LOVE shipping <3) ,,, And personally, I love Haraka, she's super cool and a creative spin on a character for the series, so she deserves all the love in the world!!!💥💥💥💥 ,,, so why not give her a beautiful and cool botanist gf in Selva :3 !! I don't remember if they ever interacted in the series but I get to do whatever I want bc its my au <3 so I shipped em for a super cute drawing that I adore and enjoyed making ^w^

Tysm for the ask!!! And im so sorry it took so long to answer, but none of the concepts I had in my mind ever felt right 😭 so it took me a while to think up something good to draw/say that I was satisfied with . . .

Context :

Okay, so! The Octopod itself in this au is very decrepit and run down - it's rusted up, tearing apart, and very worn down, nowhere near the peak condition it had used to to be in, and held together almost entirely by a strange black gooey substance controlled by the Entity seeping and pulsing through every crack, seam, and gap in the crumbling walls. The Octopod drags along the ground for the most part, not very good at traversing through open waters, but regardless, its still their home, or sometimes as it feels, their tomb.

But Barns and Tweak do have a sort of control over it regardless of the Entity's influence and essence running throughout, and it helps to keep a sense of sanity and normalcy when they can control it. Barn's control is stronger, too, as its captain, able to physically "order" the Octopod to do things like extend it's pods out, go into certain modes/shutdown, etc, and travel a certain way through a mental connection similar to Tweak's, or also by the usual way of steering it via the helm ,,, whereas Tweak more controls the electrical part of it via a telekinetic type power. It's kinda hard to explain what I mean, but I am trying ToT ,,, I suppose to simplify it, I could say that Barns's influence is more physical, able to direct the Octopod's systems like steering, chutes, doors opening and closing, pressing buttons/pulling levers mentally, that kinda stuff, while Tweak could control the electrics and can make power surges in certain areas to help things work better when they're being faulty.

When they argue, the ship's system go on the frits and act up because their two mental connections are clashing, and their emotions affect everything outwardly. But then again, they don't argue often because they're all already suffering enough, why waste their unfortunately eternal lives upset with one another when each other is all they have left?

Context :

YIPPIE MORE PIRATE AU YAYAYAYAYAYYY !!!! Anyways, secrets out, this au has always been a little barnzii coded but ever since my dear friend wistie has come into my life and infected my brain with qpr barnzii propaganda, I really enjoy the au with both forms of the ship in mind :] so take it however you fancy! ^v^

Anyways . . . Barnacles is the notorious captain of the revered Black Ice (his ship), and the frightening crew aboard it, especially including his small but firey first mate, Konstantine "Kwazii" Rackham. Legends say that the king of the ice and his fire-starter partner are a duo none can best (alongside their astounding, top-skilled, and incredibly respected crew) . . . Except for the few times that they are. Luckily, it isn't often enough to damage their dubious reputation, but it does unfortunately happen. Much of the terror and fear they cause amongst their fellow seagoers is all smoke and mirrors anyway, even if affective, and while yes the characters in this au are a more morally grey and admittedly murderous version of themselves, they are still loyal to the bone and saviors to those in need. Much of the issues that plague them and the watery world are causes of the oceans' most dreaded enemy, the King's Royal Navy, and this band of pirates would stop at nothing to defeat them and right the wrongs they've caused!

Inkling is their mysterious sponsor and supplier - and if need be, they will do his dirty work most willingly and diligently - and the one they owe their lives to, some even literally,,,

And this au Kwazii, due to secret past traumas that only his dear captain knows about (and my dear friends >:)), is an arsonist, hence the flaming reputation. He doesn't mean to cause harm (to the innocent) with his fires, only to relieve the oftentimes agonizing urge and to feel safety in the warmth and protection that the flames grant his troubled mind, but sometimes his urge gets the better of him and a load of cargo or two goes up in flames 😔 he's working on getting better about it though, with Barnacles's help <3

The Future of Stag López ! Octonauts OC ====================

Context :

I've stated on several occasions that Stag is technically immortal because as long as he continues to take on a new husk each time the previous has been spent (he keeps the body in tact despise it decomposing on the inside just by living in it), so obviously after the one he's currently using is up, he'll have to move on or literally be a helpless, unprotected little black sentient blob of goop. So, after some time, he does, but of course, it takes him far longer to finally "move on." Being in the body he currently is in now is special to him because it was the version of him that Helen loved. She knew he wasn't really a buck, but still, she adored the form he took on for her, and Stag is deeply attached to it because of her. When it dies, it feels like what she loved will die along with it, and with that, what little remains of her that he has left. Of course, he'll never forget her, the first woman he ever truly loved, but the decision, even if necessary, will be painful to him. He'll fight and cling and claw desperately at all he has left of her until it falls apart in his arms and longer still he'll huddle by her grave until the grass overtakes it and the worms steal her remains.

But still, eventually, he'll move on. Years later, an entire generation gone by, one entire, painful, lonely reincarnation missed in the cycle, he'll spend a long time learning how to be a real 'human' for the next lover down the line. By the time he meets Harriet, the "next Helen," he's much better at being a man. (I also joked once when making her character that how they first met was by running into one another in a small little country town and when they locked eyes they ran to embrace and kiss (because of having gone an entire reincarnation cycle apart) and my friend liked it sm i decided to make it canon X3 hehe)

He's still a goofball and horrible at pretending (books and People Watching are never as good as hands-on experience), but Harriet loves him all the same. He's grown a lot to be the perfect man for her! He even has a job now (and can TALK!! :D It's painful and difficult due to the transferring process between husks damaging the throat, and he prefers using ASL that he's learning, but he can talk now and he has a voice claim (in the art) to match!! ^w^)

Harriet is his new wife and very similar to Helen in her loud, country, no-nonsense attitude, but much more social and aggressive than her prior self. She's a sweetheart for sure but definitely lets her temper get to her, and Stag loves to watch her beat people up when they have their date nights at the local bar 🥰 she's also a park ranger! And technically Stag's boss but he doesn't mind (he highkey loves being bossed around) . . . Her character is still being developed so more on her another time ^v^

In the image below is two of his friends and fellow employees!! Jeremy McCoy and Wolfgang Jäger, a coyote and timber wolf respectively, and his much younger colleagues. Wolfgang idolizes Stag greatly, young and naive and very silly, and all the more oblivious to all the weird goings-on that Jerry, conversely, has seen all of. Jerry is TERRIFIED of Stag and Stag LOVES to torment him (he'd never actually hurt him, however, just scared him for the love of the game <3 he'll always be mischievous) (and no, Wolfgang doesn't believe Jerry when he insists Stag isn't normal tehehe)

More on this stage in his life another time, its still under development, but deeply beloved by me and hopefully the two other people who are as insane about Stag as I am 😭🫶 it is SO SO SO SO SO appreciated and makes me so so super duper happy when you guys like my stupid little dude and his friends !!!! 🥺🤎🤎🤎

Hey divas and sigmas,

So alot has happened on my moving situation, my friend, or now girlfriend heh, has to move out before her mum notices she's on hrt, we've been doing research and decided to buy a flat of sorts somewhere in scottland wich is around 50k

And given that I earn 10k a year I'm obviously not cutting it in less than a year. So we're literally desperate to the point of asking people if it's ok for her to move in with them for a couple years. The reason why her and not the both of us is cus her situation is more dire.

In the mean time (And I really don't wanna do this T_T) I've added a goal on my kofi for anyone who's able to donate. (I really hate asking for money.)

So the current plan is to just find someone who's cool with her staying for a couple years.

But yea, kind a shitty situation we're in but we'll chug through it.

Annoying . . . ! Undead AU ! Tweak & Peso ====================

Context :

I'm not sure in what order she was killed, but Tweak died when a gup she was working on in hopes of finding a way for her and her remaining friends to escape the cursed ship exploded around her, sending shards of metal into her body. I'd say her undead form has a similar power to Barnacles's, but she can now mentally control and "talk" to the Octopod's circuitry.

Peso was killed by a rabid animal broke into the Octopod and bit him, infecting him with the virus and leaving his undead body permanently stuck in a feral rabid state, with occasional bouts of clarity. Most of the time, he avoids the LaunchBay because of his disease given fear and newfound of water, but sometimes he'll brave the journey and reach Tweak hanging around down there, who, admittedly, sometimes finds him annoying, until she remembers the state he's in and helps him back to the HQ.

Poke ! Undead AU ! Barnacles and Kwazii

Context :

Undead AU is an old but beloved au of mine where due to the influence of a mysterious eldritch monstrosity, the Octonauts all, obviously, die, each in their own horrific ways, only to be brought back to life and cursed to live forever in their constantly re-dying forms <3

Barnacles was the first to be killed by the entity when a current pulled him down into a deep trench where he was partially crushed and drowned, and when the Octonauts dredged up his body and stored it in his bedroom for the cold temperature to keep it intact to later be buried, he reanimated and the first to see him was Kwazii (he phased through the walk into Kwazii's room when Kwazii was trying to sleep (and failing, because how can you even sleep when your best friend and captain of over ten years is a mangled corpse in the next room) because one of his "undead powers" is the ability to essentially melt himself into any part of the Octopod, transporting between rooms by simply walking into the wall of one and appearing out of another - his connection to the Octopod is supposed to be shown in how some of his reanimated body is made of pieces of the now decaying Octopod, and you can see a little of it in the bolts on his exposed skull --- also, each of the Octonauts have some sort of ability relevant to them).

By being the first to see the captain as he was, a chain event was set off, and Kwazii was the next to die when he went into a manic frenzy and was blown up in the Gup-B when trying to escape, leaving barely any physical body left for his spirit to inhabit, so his undead form is a ghost made of smoke.

Even though they are all suffering now beyond words, they still try their best to help others, even if it doesn't work out very well that often. And at the very least, they're all still together, and misery is always easier with company.

More on this au later because I deeply love it and have posted about it before with a Dashton drawing most recently and some oldddd drawings way back in my early blog days lol :3 ,,, I'd also gladly take drawing requests for this au too if anyone is interested pretty please but no pressure 🥺🙏 ik its kinda morbid and made just for me and like 2 other people 😭

Context: Recently, I had the idea that Koshi was a diabetic (Type 1 to be specific, and neither Dashi nor her parents are fellow diabetics), and idk why but it just seemed like such a cute and lovely idea that I decided to make it canon to my au :3 ,,, her parents used to have to pay for all the treatments and healthcare and such but ever since Dashi became an Octonaut, all expenses come straight from Professor Inkling's wallet personally! Context: After his navy ship, the Manitoba, sank, Barnacles has never been able to handle the sounds related to that incident very well. Things like loud bangs/explosions, scraping and grinding and tearing metal, and other such auditory triggers have always, obviously, triggered him. In the modern day, he can handle it much easier, but when he was a freshly made Octonaut, only a year into this new venture, the Octopod 1 sank and Barnacles panicked viscerally. Inkling being the only one who knows about the Manitoba's sinking (even in the modern day since Barnacles has kept it secret all this time) was the only one who could comfort the frightened and frantic captain, not that there were many other witnesses. Tweak was the only other Octonaut at that time, and to her, this massive, intimidating, and formerly extremely professional and serious leader-figure suddenly being reduced to a trembling, sobbing, hyperventilating wreck of a man was more frightening than the crash itself. No one was hurt and the damage, while debilitating, wasn't catastrophic, so she couldn't understand why Barnacles was so freaked out. But still to this day neither Inkling nor Barnacles have ever explained what happened to her, and she never brought it up again, mostly due to Inkling's request not to.

Also, Barns used to wear an eyepatch over his scar because he was insecure 💔 he doesn't anymore tho lol ,,, look at bro healing <3 he doesn't have his military ahh buzz cut anymore either as part of his recovery process to distance himself the sad times :3

And that's all :3 hopefully soon I'll finish up his lore and create a full post for his entire life/backstory like I intend to (with every character eventually). I've got all but his childhood, which contains a lotta moving parts and different characters, and the perfectionist in me won't let me make the "big important post TM" have any missing pieces 😭 hopefully ill get the inspirational spark back soon </3
