i know TECHNICALLY according to CANON Obi-wan is 25 in the phantom menace, but In my headcanon he's so much younger, maybe 18/19. Just on the cusp of adulthood, still a child himself in so many ways, but with wisdom beyond his years. But he's still a child- and suddenly his master is killed right in front of him. And he's barely finished training and he has to train Anakin, the chosen one, too old to train according to some of the council members. And he has to look after a boy who is scared and lonely and just wants his mother while he, himself, is still so young.
