Suffer-o-meter: 4/10

Personal Synopsis: O'Brien is sent back in time to the TOS era, gets in a bar fight, and dressed down by Kirk. Not an insignificant amount of suffering but overall this is a quite light-hearted episode with a lot of fun little jokes.

Personal Synopsis: First O'Brien is in trouble with his wife because Bashir killed one of her plants. However, this is not the end of his troubles, his wife is possessed by a strange entity and asks him to sabotage the station's something array to kill the wormhole aliens. O'Brien can only trust Rom. He gets away with it in the end, but just barely.

Personal Synopsis: O'Brien is trapped on a Dominion derelict, besieged by Jem Hadar. He has to watch Muniz, a man under his command, slowly bleed after he was struck by a Jem Hadar Rifle. Good vocational and emotional suffering.

Personal Synopsis: O'Brien gets turned into a klingon for a high level infiltration to expose a changeling. O'Brien and Odo struggle with the finer points of the Klingon existence and must hasten their efforts learn to become more convincing warriors. They get exposed and imprisoned. Mild emotional and some physical suffering.

Personal Synopsis: This is more of an Odo suffering episode. O'Brien has some mild marital woes, he then gets fucking Grispsed by a Jem Hadar. It seems to hurt.

Personal Synopsis: O'Brien's very pregnant wife goes on a dangerous expedition. She ends up needing surgery and Bashir experimentally places her baby in Major Kira. This is a big change in The O'brien's' lives but at least the baby's ostensibly fine, even if it needs to complete its term in another womb. The suffering presented in this episode is oddly restrained, but this plotline is a huge source of Future Suffering(tm).
