Lioden Lore/Paradise Drabble

"It is not good enough!" Paradise roared, tossing the body of yet another newborn cub to the side, her pelt matted and stained with the blood of many others. "They are never good enough!" The Celestial lioness paced back and forth in her dim crimson den, stinking of decay and iron.

"Para...Please, please calm down," Murmur, Paradise's wife, started in her very much not calming voice. It was like radio static, crackling, coming in and out and it wasn't quite right.

"I CANNOT! All my time, my efforts, my blood, it all goes to waste! None of them are worthy to be my vessel, they're all failures. Every last one of them." Paradise's tail lashed violently, her Smoke eyes as ablaze as a white ringed iris and black sclera could be. The eyes of failure, in her mind.

"Surely...Surely there must be one you could work with?"

Paradise let out a frustrated snarl, her mane ruffled and claws scraping the rock floor. She motioned to a lioness, huddled against a wall with a batch - not litter, for there were many - of cubs protected firmly between her paws.

These cubs were not perfect, by any means, but they were ever so closer to Paradise's end goal. Some carried her mother Oleander's beautiful starry pelt, while others the years of Paradise's Feline and Margay breeding. They all, however, carried her newest fascination, perfect little Ebony Tsavo manes. Each of them had their flaws, lacking a Feline here, a Speckle there, but at the very least they were a step in the right direction. Paradise had to remind herself of that, for as frustrated as she was, at least they were a step.

No. It was no missunderstanding, did you mean to spell 'manipulation'? Don't twist the story, it doesn't work. Missunderstandings don't result in outbidding friends on a RL, behind their back, asking for updates just to outbid them, when they were trying to buy it for a friend who was struggling. Do not kid yourself- this was no 'misunderstanding', it was a power trip over people who cared about you.

You're upset you don't have a posse of well-liked users to lord over and manipulate and want that control back. You remain selfish and just want to erase the guilt of being known as a liar and manipulator who skates by on her good reputation. You never deserved an ounce of goodwill any of the people hurt showed you. We've cried together over the shit you did to us. We laughed over plenty other more pleasant things, too- they're my friends now, and if in some world I'd forgive you for what you did to me I'd never forgive you for the repeated, malicious control you exterted over them. Enjoy the guilt, grow from the knowledge that what you did was wrong, maybe become a decent person- but don't you fucking think any of us owe you our forgiveness or more that a cold, cordial politeness when we must interact with you. Grow up and maybe learn that friends aren't things you use and throw away, then maybe you can be happy and find yourself some new people who aren't lackeys. Not me, though- never me.

You better believe I talked shit- after you hurt me. After I found every new connecting story about the people you hurt. I didn't talk shit while going 'uwu I've changed, I'm so sorry, I swear I'm better', while doing the exact same thing. Not very impressive comeback there.

Hm. Someone with a vested interest in seeing their roommate get what they wants, suddenly kings a lion right after the other user politely said please don't... You know there's such a thing as coersion, right? People can do things technically of their own free will, but encouraged or pressured by others. I'm fairly sure you had a nice gloat over your master plan, but no worries- it was easy to piece together!

Angel has screenshots of your fit- you have a nasty habit of diverting blame, that's not very healthy, but a pretty solid self-preservation strategy. He's opting not to share due to personal details on both sides.

You can check Cery's reply if you can't remember- she sure does. Typh sure does. It sure as hell hurts both of them a lot, and I sure hope you can remember for their sakes.

I'm happy my friends, and probably others, learned to keep away from your venomous personality- though fuck it hurts to know many got burned in the process. The Runalongs are rare in worlds without fast transportation. It seems they are brought into being when someone, bored by a journey, looks out to watch the countryside go by. They daydream of a creature that follows their path (guarding? Or hunting?) and suddenly, without fanfare, it appears.

Runalongs have little in the way of ecology, but they are known to eat other dreams. Sometimes if the one who called them is particularly lonely or afraid they will get closer and even speak in humming voices without opening their mouths. But the second you stop moving, the creatures turn and vanish behind themselves, disappearing to wherever fantasies come from.

A Runalong can also have other forms; a humanoid figure (without distinct features) is common, and these may also ride things that are supposed to be horses. If only we were better at imagining, then they might not look so terrifying.

Why I Left CLFL..

Given the recent posts about CLFL showing up, I wanted to share a bit about my experiences in there. I am not replying to anyone, just simply sharing my own experiences.

The Clan wasn’t always a bad place. When I first joined, I joined at a bit of an awkward time, flowing from the sunrise and solaris drama so people were still on edge.

Everyone was friendly and they made me feel very welcomed. That was until things started changing over time.

I joined around August/September and left a few months ago. Everyone was very open and helpful. Especially their moderators.

I settled into the server and after a few months; things started changing. Mostly with the top three known moderators of that server; Kelpy, Typhon and of course Jax.

Typhon is naturally an asshole, and he will admit it as he has in the server previously, but sometimes Typhon can’t tell the difference between joking and genuinely hurting someone’s feelings.

They say it was a simple joke between two friends but the other party involved was very uncomfortable and upset by this remark. Sure, it’s something simple, but a little thing can go a long way

I always believed these people were actually my friends, but they turned on me the very moment they had the chance.

I’m not disclosing this story as it’ll reveal who I am and I would prefer to stay out of the spotlight as I’m going through some really challenging times in real life.

My other issues are with the ways they moderate. There is a role within the server called “Weenie Hut Jr”.

While it’s a funny joke to hear about it, being in the role is intimidating. There’s 3-4 bullies picking on someone in a private channel. I would say in this instance, it depends on what the user did wrong. If it was something serious, maybe they deserved it, but anything smaller feels like you’re being targeting and it’s upsetting. Especially for people who have been emotionally abused and targeting before.

The way in which they moderator is extremely strict and they have downgraded severely since the time I joined to the time in which I left.

I had to leave the clan a few months ago because it was so degrading to my mental health and I stayed too long that I just couldn’t take the toxicity anymore.

I just couldn’t take the unnecessary drama that I constantly experienced in that server whether from the mods or from other users in it.

I am not posting this to tell you to stay away from it, I’m posting this as a warning in regards to how much the server will destroy you mentally.

I’m only responding to the part that explicitly mentions me because, frankly, I’m on a break from modding right now due to RL shit and can’t be bothered to respond to anything else. 

If you act like you’re fine with a joke and later joke with about said joke with the other party, ****the person that made the joke is going to assume you’re fine with said joke and will continue to make them****. If Rox didn’t want me making jokes like that, she was free to tell me. But instead, she acted like she was alright with it and we later joked about not being able to make jokes or it’d end up on COAL. It’s not my intention to hurt friends, but when you put on an act I literally do not know that I’ve made you uncomfortable. Some people are fine with crass humor and some people aren’t, and that’s fine! But you gotta tell me when you aren’t so I know to adjust my words accordingly.

TDLR; if you’re not cool with my jokes tell me, don’t pretend that you’re totally fine with it when you really aren’t.
