August 10th marks the date Unspoken was first officially planned in my discord direct messages with June ( @timegrrrl ), so I decided that as a celebration I could expose some fun facts that has never been heard about Unspokenverse before!

I know no one gaf about Unspokenverse truly but, if you like perfectnerds you may aswell like this post so, let's go!

(WARNING: THIS INCLUDES SPOILERS FOR THE FANFIC UNSPOKEN ,, SPECIFICALLY CHAPTERS 1 TO 7, WHICH ARE THE ONES PUBLISHED TO THIS DATE)

• The idea for Unspoken was first born when I was at Buenos Aires with my cousin on August 7th, on my way to McDonald's at approximately 12 PM. I call it one of the best moments of my life, because all I could think about that day was Ride The Cyclone, as it was also the night I would watch it live for the first time.

• Though! The first scene I ever planned was way before Unspoken was even a thought. When I first started shipping Perfectnerds, I thought about them playing The Sims 2 as young teens/pre teens; before the punchline was young Johnny Kivton's demise, Ocean and Trishna would actually play as themselves and get two cats, but they'd accidentally match them together instead.

• The name "Unspoken" came from a random phrase June said when I was telling them my first ideas for Unspoken, that same August 10th at 3 AM. Tongue-Tied's name was also June's idea (fun fact: as you may already know, English is not my first language, so for the longest time I thought "Tongue-Tied" was a synonym for "Tongue Twister". I was, in fact, really disappointed when I realized I was in the wrong.)

• There's a playlist for Unspoken that I listen to practically every day, but there are certain songs that I listened to while writing chapters or scenes: most memorables are Another Believer by Rufus Wainwright (Meet The Robinsons), Answer by TMBG, If You Want To by beadadoobee, Imposter Syndrome by Sidney Gish, Anthems For a Seventeen Year-Old Girl (ISTTVG version) by yeule and a long etcetera.

• My English teachers and my literature teacher know about this fanfiction. My mom also does, and when I got to interact with Jacob Richmond via Tiktok once she suggested I should've "sent him the fic so he could make it canon". Oh my god.

• Chapter 6 was the hardest chapter to write, though it was the second most delayed publishing. You may notice it in some lines of that chapter but I was suffering terrible writers block, this because at the time I was roleplaying daily with a friend and it completely drained my energy for Unspoken (along with a seasonal depression but that's another point)

• June, Unspoken's amazing proofreader, didn't only check for mistakes on the writing nor draw some amazing pieces of fanart, but also helped suggesting some scenes! Ocean's pencil rivalry, for example, was thanks to them. Thank you so much June for your help!

• There was an early scrapped idea that included Ocean and Trishna actually having a small kiss as "practice for their future husbands", but it didn't sound accurate for them to do in their context of internalized homophobia.

• I actually bought The Sims 2 with my pocket money to write The Sims 2 scenes as accurate as possible. And yes, there's obviously recreations of the Kivton family in my file! (ps: yes I also found the file for OMGWTFBBQ and have it installed)

• Similarly, I watched Monster House and specifically the English dub to write the movie scene in Chapter 5.

• Contrary of what you may believe, Ocean didn't hate Trishna since the moment they met, but it was an early rivalry. In Pre-K (before they had a fight which was the one thay started their one sided hatred), they actually got along well (as mentioned a few times by Trishna's nostalgic POV). In fact, one time Trishna got overwhelmed and went to the hallway to cry, and Ocean sat by her side and gave her a hug, as she realized how ashamed Trishna looked.

And, that's all for tonight! If you're interested in this fanfic, I'm planning to make an ask blog for Unspokenverse, but I am still not fully sure of how or when will I create it.
