“I promise.”
Happy Fathers Day!
Planning on getting to things soon, but I did want to say Happy Father’s Day to all. To the fellas who stick around, to the fellas who try. To the women who step in for both roles. To the same sex couples, to the couples who prefer fur babies over hooman poop factories. To the adoptive parents, to the aunts and uncles who have stepped in to take over the new role. Happy Father’s Day, you’re all appreciated.
#how this is just the first episode and you get this tiny blonde teenage girl #that tells you how she was raped in the first half of the episode #and how her best friend got murdered #and how her alcoholic mom left her after her dad fucked up in a case #against the most powerful family in town #and then she goes and does this #stands up to the leader of a renowned motorcycle gang #in order to defend this kid that was wronged in front of the entire school #AND YOU’RE LIKE #YEAH MAN #THIS SHOW #YES
And then it gets even better when you realise the most dangerous people in town aren’t the motorcycle gang, that the real danger in Neptune comes from the overprivileged idiots flopping around in a moral vacuum, and the brown kids see the gang as their only way to push back against a system that has locked them out. Not to mention the scary gangleader stereotype is turned upside down and shaken out to reveal it as the performance it is. Turns out, Weevil has more honour than any one else in Neptune and a sense of fairness and justice that parallels Veronica’s own. Weevil and the PCH Bike Club in the pilot are basically lesson one of Rob Thomas saying - abandon all ye preconceptions here. Veronica Mars won’t be buying into that bullshit.
There’s no such thing as perfect in this crazy world of ours, but that first season of Veronica Mars comes awful close.
TBH Veronica Mars deserves all of Buffy’s “feminist show” cred AND MORE, and y’all can fight me on this
Send me "♥" to see how my muse reacts when your muse suddenly kisses them.

Normally, they group was pretty tight knit. None of them went off on their own out of worry that they get separated. But sometimes, Cameron was just too quick to get away. He was after all their most skilled runner for supplies. And thanks to the sparring lessons with his older brothers, he was a decent fighter.
He lugs the pack back over his shoulders and surveys the area for signs of life and almost misses her entirely. He can just see the flash of blonde hair round the corner out of sight when his curiosity gets the better of him. He picks up speed at a jog to catch up with her, almost colliding with her at a screeching halt.
“H-hey–” He stumbles, hoping she doesn’t immediately try to kill him for his haul. “Just saw you and thought I’d– make sure you were alright?” He asks more than states.
It’s more than about surviving now. It’s about keeping sane something that was proving difficult to do when she was surrounded by those that wanted to rule over their group. Clarke wasn’t having it, but she wasn’t worried. Physically, everyone was fine, seeing that she was her mother’s apprentice and knew the medical side of things, but her mother worried about her too much. Which is why she decided to separate herself from the group, even if for a while, to see if she could gather some medicinal plants.
Many were recovering from the fevers, and others were catching it pretty quickly. Some of the leaves helped when they brewed them into tea. So lost in her own thoughts, Clarke hadn’t realized there was anyone around and while she assumed it would have been her mother or Finn coming over to check in on her, she was about to give them a piece of her mind.
Except, it wasn’t her mother, neither was it Finn. No one from her group anyway. But he didn’t seem like a threat either, which is why she left the knife into it’s knife holster rather than pulling it out at him. “Who are you?” is the question she asks in response. She was fine, nothing that would kill her, unless he did turn out to be some psycho. Which is why she didn’t mention anything else.
“I didn’t think there were any other survivors. Where did you come from?” came the next question, but out of genuine curiosity. She truly didn’t believe anyone aside from her small group survived. To know that they weren’t the only survivors was both a good thing and a bad thing. She had yet to figure out which it was.
@eldcstson;
The first few weeks had been harsh, and to be able to breathe was a struggle for her. But she was alive --and so was he. Clarke would never be able to thank him for all that he did for her, and while she wasn’t sure if the transfusion would come into affect, it had and he was doing better. Their main concern was the food and the water, something that had become very scarce after the praimfaya had hit.
Clarke was growing impatient, she knew the toxic air wouldn’t affect her--no, wouldn’t kill her, but they couldn’t just sit in there and wait until the air was clear just to be able to go out. She still had her suit, she could repair the helmet easily with duct tape if she had to, but she refused to just sit around. They needed to survive, and she didn’t make it this far only to die of hunger.
“I was thinking fish.” she spoke up upon seeing him seated in one of the rooms. The bunker, surprisingly held, but it wouldn’t be long enough before it was breached by toxic air or something of that sort. For now, they needed to eat. “I mean, surely there still has to be something we can hunt.” Whether animals lived or perished was unknown to her. For now, if she was assuming correctly, the fish would either be dead and floating in the water, or she’d run into a wild boar somewhere.
“There are some crackers, but that’s it. We’re going to need more and we’re not going to get anything if we just sit around, we’re most likely going to die of starvation.”

@ofconvictixns | plotted starter.
Her fate had been decided before the babe was but thought in her mother’s eyes. There had been war and strife, victory creeping upon her doors with just a hint of cruelty if one looked too closely, and it was then that they summoned her with heads bowed and tears gathered in their royal eyes.
Her cold fingers had touched the cheeks of her nemesis, guards drawing their swords in a final act of bravery before the metal melted into their hands. You know what I want, she had said, withdrawing her hand to instead pace around a table made of the brightest wood they could find. A protest had met her steps, and a promise had fallen from her lips to finish the war in an end to the argument that bore no fruit.
She had ogres and giants, the dark one clapping from his bench as he watched her tear the lands apart. There was no woman or child spared in the fight, her spoils of war growing each day when her men would return victorious, gaping holes in their chests where their hearts should be, her bloodied hands squeezing a little tighter to command pain and respect.
A deal had been made then, blood used as ink and a raven’s feather plucked from the air to turn gold in the seal of their agreement. It would be best, they said, better for all involved. And for once, Regina did so agree to ruining the lives of those who dare challenge her by corrupting their heir for peace.
That was eighteen years ago, eighteen long years in which the vines on her hand had remained as a reminder for the marriage that had yet to come. It would disappear with repeated vows, a token of marriage and whatever else Snow insisted on for the girl Regina had yet to even see.
Rumoured was she of light hair and eyes, but at sixteen summers Regina doubted the girl looked any more than a gawking scarecrow with ideals that made her head hurt. Still, the allure to have something, to KEEP it forever was strong indeed; and staring out at the crowd of those gathered to witness the union of two kingdoms, red draped dress with gold accents a stark contrast to the girl coming down the isle, Regina actually managed a smile.
She’d only heard the rumors when growing up, but it never occurred to her that those rumors were in fact the truth. She was just a child-- interested in riding horses, learning about the world, or sparring with her father for practices. They had promised her more lessons as she grew, but never once did it occur to them to tell her the truth.
It isn’t as if she hadn’t heard the history of their kingdom and all that they had been through. But to know that she had been used as a bargaining token for the peace of their land seemed immoral to her. Then again, she was only fourteen so what did she know right? Politics was never her best suit, in fact she didn’t understand it. She wasn’t like her mother who had been born with a great and brave heart as everyone said she did, for if she did, she would not have sold her own daughter out to the woman behind all their misery.
For two years she tried to run away but each time she was caught. Whether it be guards or the townsfolk, she had no one to turn to. Except Lily; That girl was her only friend who suggested where to go or what to do--granted, that nothing worked out. But that was another heartache, the loss of her friend in which she grew so strong with. It hadn’t occurred to her that she was in love with Lily. Until she was sixteen and Lily had stopped coming over to be with another boy their age. But what was the point? That was the year she was to be given off to the evil queen.
The day had come and the entire kingdom seemed to be there, so it seemed; She felt like a golden goose on display and she hated it. Her father was to walk her down the isle and she hated him. Her mother was in tears and she hated her even more. She could clearly see the woman who stood there, waiting her approach, draped in a rich red compared to the white she wore. But Emma couldn’t look at her. She refused to look her way; A part of her hoped that maybe, just maybe she’d be rescued from the girl she was very much in love with -- or at least that’s what she thought considering the girl had been around her for partially all her life.
No indication that she was even there. She had taken out the pins to allow her curls to fall over her shoulder. A silent protest only her mother would understand considering their last argument was over the fact that she didn’t want to keep her hair pinned back even if it did cover her face. Perhaps the only rebellious streak she could pull because she was expected to take on a new responsibility.
No, she wasn’t good with politics, but even she grew to understand that there would be no kingdom if there was no life. Whether she went through with the marriage or died in a war, the outcome would still be the same. Death; At least this way she’d be breathing and her people-- her parents, even though she despised them for this, would be well and safe.
Her demeanor hadn’t changed even when she approached the Queen’s side, but she did turn to gaze at the woman she would be getting married to. She was expecting ugly features. A longer nose, with warts over her face. Perhaps even a fly buzzing around them due to such filthy stories she’s heard. It was quite the opposite and she even found the woman more attractive than her friend Lily, or any one of the handmaiden’s around her castle.
She smiled, but all Emma could do was stare back-- but that was only because she was trying to process how such an evil person could be this beautiful. The ceremony was to begin and Emma’s heart began racing. She was sure if there was no chatter, anyone within a two feet distance wold be able to hear the loud thudding from her own chest. She told herself to suck it up, because this was going to be her life now, which were the only words she could tell herself through out the entire ceremony.
Which is why she hadn’t realized that it was her turn to speak. She’d been prepared vows, but decided against speaking any thing of it. Were the people expecting her to speak of her parent’s sacrifice? Were they expecting some sort of goodbye speech from her? Well they weren’t going to get it, so instead, she spoke the two words that everyone was expecting to hear.
“--I do.”
hookedjones:
“Excellent.”
He grinned then, lips spreading across his features in that roguish way of his. At least she was a sporting lass. He didn’t think he had the patience to deal with anything less these days.
A chuckle escaped him at her question.
“Ah ah ah. Mighty impatient, aren’t we?” It was a strange way to start this date with. Direct, straight to the point, and finished with something almost overly personal. In a way, it tickled his fancy. For the most part, however, it amused him. At the very least, it seemed as though this rendezvous was turning out to be potentially interesting.
Potentially.
“But really, can you blame a man for not being able to find the One?” he said smoothly, as though it was a well rehearsed line. In a way, it was true, though it was worthy to note that he had made no such effort. Killian had never really been one for romantic attachments. “As for your question, hard to say, love. We’ve just met. I’d need a bit time more time to conduct a more thorough assessment.”
Killian tilted his head, cobalt eyes brushing over her visage in an almost leisurely, contemplative manner.
“I trust that this man is someone who meant a great deal to you?”
She could only smile in response and waited for the waitress to stop by just so they could at least order their drinks. Should she be drinking? It isn’t as if she was in no control once she drank, but she did want to keep her head clear. The last thing she needed was to screw this over as she had done in the past already.
“Well--” she began in response to his words. She probably did come off as impatient, but centuries worth of wait? She begged to differ. “--The last thing I need is for some crazy obsessed girlfriend or someone from the past to ruin this.” She’s one to talk but she kept that thought to herself. “If it is too nosy, I won’t ask.” Then again, she could only assume that maybe he did have a long line of women and this wasn’t because he was remembering anything. He just needed another name to add to the list.
It was a start, and that’s all that mattered. Even if she was just some hook up for him, she still held onto the hope that maybe, just maybe things would go right this time. Third century’s the charm right? “I guess I was just curious. I was hoping to be an open book.” It would have made all of this, much easier. But it was decided just then, that she was going to try and enjoy the date. For once, she just wanted to have a nice time with the man she loved even if he didn’t know it.
When he brought him up, Emma could only look at him in response. He did mean a lot to her. There was no past tense to this, because the man she deeply cared for was still alive. Granted, as twisted as their fate was, he was still breathing. So he is still someone she cares greatly about. Not someone from her past.
“Yeah, and if i’m being honest, he still is someone who means a lot to me. But, i’ve got to move on.”
She wasn’t going to lie to him, but how was she supposed to explain her heart was stuck on him even though he wasn’t the man she knew? “--But don’t worry, he won’t be storming in here any time soon to interrupt us, just clarifying that.” she added with a hint of tease behind her voice. As soon as the waitress approached their table, Emma glanced back down at the menu. They had their drinks decided but she still wasn’t sure what to order.
“Alright, it’s actually my first time here and while the steak was going to be my original pick, i’ve gotta ask first. Is there anything that’s better on here?” she asks as she looked back at him.
starkwithsarcasm:
“Look I don’t really know much about Gold but something tells me if HE did not want me behind his counter, I wouldn’t be standing here,” Stiles replied with a shake of his head, after plopping himself down on a stool. “Trust me, if I could leave town and go back to where I came from I would.” But every time he tried something stopped him and how could he leave without getting to know about Rumpelstiltskin his father? “He told me not move until he gets back. doesn’t really want me walking around town alone for some reason.”
@ofconvictixns
As much as she wanted to hear his side of the story, Gold’s shop wasn’t exactly the best place. She wasn’t sure if Gold was going to use this --him against everyone here, or harm him. She was still trying to wrap her head around things in this moment, because there’s no way Gold would have a child and not tell anyone about him. What was the story to this? “Alright, you hungry?” she asked while ignoring the fact that Gold asked him not to leave the shop. When did Emma ever listen when things involved Gold? “I can tell you a bit about this place-- or better yet, I can show you.” Was she going to use her magic around him? No. But she was going to hand him Henry’s Storybrooke so he could read for himself. “But not here, Granny’s diner isn’t far off. You’ll be back before he gets back and it’s more of a public place where Gold won’t try and create a scene.” because why would he want others to know the truth?

Sam had been treated to a rather pleasant surprise the night before. An unexpected treat in the form of a girl he knew from his days at Stanford. A girl he remembered to have a special sort of fondness for, but not so much as to overbear his feelings for Jessica. Her name was Hayes Morrison.
It had been little over a decade since he had last heard from Hayes, let alone laid eyes on her. And damn if those years hadn’t done her well… from the moment he saw her, the first thing he noticed was just how much she had developed. He wanted to have a shot at her before he even got the name he needed to pull her back from the archives of his mind. And as fate would have it, he would be lucky enough to get his wish that very same night.
Sure, it may have taken a few drinks, but it was all worth it in the end. After the poor thing had finished pouring her heart out to him in tipsy rambles of nostalgia and lingering sentiment, Sam suggested that they ought to resolve these long years of… unresolved tension. (Granted, the feelings had long been forgotten on his end, but it wasn’t terribly hard to convince the bimbo broad otherwise.) And what had followed was nothing short of a wild romp.
He could still picture it vividly. Before Hayes had to high-tail it out for work, Sam remembered her begging for them to have one more go. As if even after a night of her screaming her lungs out, she still couldn’t get enough of everything he had to offer. The raw power, the limitless stamina, not to mention the ruthless execution of his wanton acts against her body.
He liked to think that even now she could faintly feel the coarse texture of his hands around her neck and get a little tingle between her legs. He liked to think that in moments like those, she wanted more. At least, he hoped so. Because he knew damn well that he wanted more. And it’d be for that reason that he’d decide to text her closer to the end of midday.
( You know, I had fun last night. )
She couldn’t get him out of her head, even as she sat at work, surrounded by her co-workers as they tried to figure out a case. It wasn’t anything she didn’t know by now, but still, she couldn’t concentrate without the thought of Sam lingering on her mind. She needed another fix-- as in a drink, or drugs to take her mind off of him. It wasn’t fair, because even after all these years she still had those unresolved feelings for the man she barely knew.
Granted, they went to school together, but they were friends. What would Jessica think of her today if she were alive and well right now? Did she regret what happened? No. She felt guilt, because the man she cared for, would never be the man that could love her the way he loved Jessica. But, then again she wasn’t going to succumb to the thought that she could even be capable of love. Not after the many screw-ups in her past thanks to her big name. So what she had with Sam was a one time deal.
Or so she thought anyway, until her phone vibrated on the table causing everyone to stop and look at her. Alright, she needed to keep her personal affairs out of her work affairs, so she didn’t respond right away, and proceeded to helping out. Which, again, was nothing she couldn’t solve.
It had taken two hours before she finally had time to herself. Heels kicked off in the office as she reached for her phone once more. Going past the texts from her mother and brother, she opened Sam’s message first, before a smile played across her face.
Stay in town for a while and we can have fun every night. You know where to find me.
There were piles of files and paperwork laying on her desk in regards to the case, but her mind was on the events of last night. She still ached every time she walked, or even sat down. The thought of having him right here, right now only caused the heat between her legs to grow and damn she wished he were there right now. Jessica would hate her for this, she was sure, but if it was any consolation, she hated herself more for allowing this to continue. But that man had always had an affect on her, even now. Especially now.
--So I did a thing and added two more muses. If you’d like to read about them, you should do it. I’m also contemplating a few more, but please, stop me. However, let me know if you’d like to plot with any one of them.
Meet my babes.

10. Your character walking in on mine being attacked by a masked assailant.
Her room had been disturbed, that much she could tell. Things may not have seem out of place, but something was off. She wasn’t sure how it had happened, but it did. One moment she was checking through her things for the scroll she had been working on earlier, only to feel foot steps right behind her. The base wasn’t that big, so whoever the assailant was, had been let in easily. The scroll had been kicked underneath her bed on purpose and before he can make a move for it, Jemma had grabbed the glass on her side table to bash against her attacker’s head.
However, she had been too slow, or he had seen it coming because he had dodged the hit only to punch her. It only angered her that he would dare lay a hand on her, but it didn’t stop her from ramming him against the wall. Unfortunately, she was no match for the man when it came to physical fights, but she didn’t have her icer around. A shout escaped her lips when her hair was pulled back with such force, but she’d be damned if she let him go just like that.
In an instant she was pushed against the wall, and she noticed he was much stronger than she was. His hand was at her throat and all she could do was look into his eyes. She was going to live through it, even as he restricted her need to breathe. It was then, the door burst open and she didn’t realize it until now, that she was happy to see him. In an instant, Caleb had her attacker down, which allowed him to let go of her. Taking a moment to just breathe, Jemma quickly looked around her room until she found her icer. She could kill him, but where would the fun in that be?
As soon as she grabbed the icer, she didn’t hesitate in shooting him, until he was out cold. “Well, finally. I thought I was going to have to take my shirt off for you to show up.”
It was meant to be her way of saying thanks. And while her attacker lay still, Jemma touched her own neck, wincing at the discomfort of the gloved hand against her skin. “I’ll get the others to lock him up.” If Caleb knew one thing, he would know that their prisoners were under no harm, but she’d be an idiot to allow him to live with comfort, even as a prisoner.
