Ok, just to add a little context here for those unaware as to the context of this tweet...

Secondly, in recent years the increasingly close links between the "gender critical" movement and extreme far right have become increasingly apparent (as in they're attending the same events, they're endorsing one another and are being funded by the same scumbags).

Now, whilst Mould Queen FART's insinuation here is probably that she and are her fellow transphobes are the soviets in this analogy, that doesn't work with the context. And there are probably other engagements which proved to be significant turning points and more importantly where the attackers WEREN'T THE LITERAL FUCKING NAZIS!

Hi. Don’t believe celebrities that say that they “didn’t know” about J.K. Rowling and the disgusting, putrid things she’s done. They know, and they either don’t care or silently support it. If you as a fully grown adult are still supporting this woman by watching or buying any of her books, movies or merchandise, then you are part of the problem, celebrity or not. Think about how you would feel if someone was actively and openly donating copious amounts of money to suppress your right to live your life the way that makes you happy. There’s nothing anyone can say that will make what she’s doing justified, in any way, shape or form. Take some time and think about the lives she’s ruining before you give her any more of your money.

"We are all enemies in the eyes of the state", only some are literal leaders in academic fields of gender studies and uses their position to openly harm the women of their own community with no consequences.

"Trans women get all the visibility" but it's 16,913 newspaper articles in the UK mainly demonising trans women, while some trans men have enough institutional power to get on a stage and spout utter bullshit about trans women that is not historically or factually correct.

And of course trans men have it hard right now, any kind of trans person has it hard in the UK right now. But this is yet another example of the differences in structural power between trans men and trans women, and a good example of how a trans men can oppress trans women

Material harm is the reason to oppose something. The reason to not read/engage with Harry Potter is that it gives money to JK Rowling, who will take that money and use it to kill trans people. The reason to not write HP fanfic is that it creates marketing for Harry Potter, which gets more people into it, which gives Rowling money to kill trans people. The reason to not engage with Neil Gaiman's works is that it gives him money and cultural influence he can use to abuse more women. The reason to not write fanfic of Neil Gaiman's works is that it gives him cultural influence in fannish spaces that he can use to abuse more women, and gets more people into his work, which gives him money he can use to abuse more women. The reason not to engage with Lovecraft's work when he was alive was because he was a notorious racist with ties to hate groups. When he died, this ceased to be relevant, because his money ceased to go towards hate groups. If Neil Gaiman died tomorrow, the damage that engaging with his work does is no longer being done. He'll be dead. He can no longer do damage, ergo, engaging with his work will no longer cause harm, because dead men cannot abuse women. But he is alive today, and engaging with his work gives him the things he needs to abuse more women, so I'm going to continue avoiding his work. When he dies...that calculation will change. It is acceptable to engage with Lovecraft's work as you will because dead men whose works are in public domain fund no hate groups. How acceptable it will be to engage with Harry Potter after JK rowling dies depended entirely on whether or not the IP would continue to fund the annihilation of trans people. Had Rowling not set up her foundation that exists solely to funnel Harry Potter IP money into the eradication of trans people, then I would have said, "once she dies, feel free to engage with Harry Potter again, dead TERFs fund no evil policies." But she did. That foundation will continue to fund that money towards the eradication of trans people long after rowling herself has died. Therefore, Harry Potter is not something to pick back up, even after Rowling dies.

TW Rant about Fuckass Harry Potter and JKR

I am so sick and tired of seeing anything or hearing anything about that fuckass fandom that should've died out years ago.

I am sick and tired of people actively engaging in the fandom when they know better.

Even fucking people who claim to be Trans allies and care about the community, existing in fandom or buying content or talking about hp when Trans people are dying because of that MONSTER's actions.

You can not claim in one breath to care about Trans people and in the same still care about HP for fucks sake we are more important then your nostalgia.

I will no longer be treating others with kids gloves in regards to this issue.

If you still engage in the fandom honestly just block me I do not want you in my life.

I have nightmares about my identity being found out and the death of innocent trans people that revolve around that cruel and horrible woman.

I worry about my friends who live in the UK and are actively affected by the rulings against trans and intersex people that were funded and pushed through directly due to JKR's campaign agasint trans people.

I'm done with it.

I say all this as someone who used to really enjoy it btw, some of my first fanfics which I never posted were HP fanfic.

It isn't even that fucking good or well written anyways and only got insanely popular due to dumb luck and timing of the rise of fandom culture

I feel like I need to write an explainer on transmedicalism cause I keep seeing people either not identifying actual transmedicalism or people saying things are transmedicalism that are not transmedicalism

transmedicalist statements:

being trans is a medical disorder

being trans needs to be diagnosed by a doctor or psychiatrist

not everyone who disagrees with their assignment is really trans, and the fakers make the true transsexuals look bad

you can "fully" transition and then you're not trans anymore. trans only refers to the medical transitioning process. if you find out you are not trans, you can detransition back. the goal is to not be trans, and transition is a middle stage to get through as quickly and privately as possible.

"male" and "female" are real, biological realities and anyone who says they are not one or the other is lying or delusional

not transmedicalist statements:

a lot of trans people need and/or desire access to surgical and/or hormonal healthcare options which are currently restricted on the basis of sex assignment at birth

when healthcare access is denied due to a patient's diagnosis of "gender dysphoria," that denial is specifically targeting trans people for being trans (even though not all trans people have that diagnosis)

sometimes trans people assume they do not want transition care because they have internalized transphobic propaganda about what it is, how it works, and how accessible it is for them. giving them information about it can help them make a more educated choice about what they want.

nonbinary people pursue medical transition too. this is not at all uncommon. sometimes nonbinary people, particularly transfeminized nonbinary people, need additional support and encouragement to know they are not "taking resources" from "real" trans people before they are able to admit they need and/or want transition care.

the way the general public outside of the tumblr-sphere is reacting to the uks social media ban is genuinely heartbreaking and enraging all at once. i hate to be a downer but it gets to a point when you notice that everybody either doesnt seem to care or is in direct support of it. im so sick of people being blindly ignorant towards government surveillance. that was a whole country that just passed this law, and one of the more powerful on earth. when australia did this, nobody cared either.

i don't care about the "positives" to these bans. it is government overreach in every way. stop blaming the children for parents not doing their job, and stop allowing your rights to be taken away just because you think it's for the kids.
