[Colors of Olympus]: Violet <Dionysus>
an entirely leaf-made necklace could be seen touching against the fabric of his shirt, a serious expression painting dionysus’ features entirely as for that was, by all means, an uncommon experience to be a part of; or see, for that matter. it was true the god was more well known for his own antics and liberating personality rather for the other side of the coin of his very own self; and, what some would call, his madness. oh, but how dare they lock him up! as for everything he had to watch, do and be entertained with ( giving such in return, as well ) had now been fulfilled. he needed for more, to seek for more, to feel more. footsteps wandered around the gardens, the tip of his fingers sensing the touch of flowers and leaves, yet he could not help himself but to notice a single sparrow, standing still in all his glory with at the tree in front of him. ‘ you, aphrodite’s animal. ’ bitter toned, he’d soon start speaking to the animal. ‘ WHY am i not able to leave? is this zeus trying to prove a point by trapping me in a goddamn cage?! ’ ah, but his last words were shouted, in clear belief the bird would actually answer to his question. loud toned, he never once cared whether someone could hear them or not.
“ hey ! you !! you there !!! i wouldn’t touch that… ”
‘ reeeeeally? ’ he remained sat down, fingertips stopping at her words as a small smile graced his own lips; seconds later, his touch met exactly where she said for him not to. ‘ so, you were saying...? ’
“…Oh. Well, um… Hmm. I cannot say I was expecting that… Are you being serious right now? That would require some thought.”
‘ oh, but that’s the beauty of it all. the unexpected. and actually, it was a joke, but i would never stop you from giving me an answer if you’d like. so... which one would you choose? ’
“…My apologies. Did you need something?”
‘ oh, yes, yes. i was wondering... would you rather... have sex with a goat, and no one knows that you did it? or not have sex with a goat, but everyone thinks you did it? ’
✧ ––– “ Isn’t it beautiful? ” she smiled, leaning over and hovering over the rose bush. Her delicate fingers hovering over the petals as if to touch, however to her knowledge, she knew the slightest contact of her skin could crush the pure soul. “ The delicacy of its life only makes death more honorable. ”
‘ an interesting perspective. ’ he noted, irises glancing down at such beauty of the ruses ; yet, their life was, by all means, finite. ‘ everyone considers me insane for thinking so. ’ oh, but they were, in some ways, right to think so; yet he didn’t mind. ah, no. as a matter of fact, he rather enjoyed it at times. ‘ which is why life should be lived to the fullest. no holding backs. ’
An ethereal glow emitted off the phosphorescent pavemented paths, alone in its glow, it cast a halcyon enchantment on the gardens. The quietude and shiftless leaves surrounding, pacified the titan, deserting him in a world of his own. Prometheus, with parted lips and lashes kissing cheeks, rested with the forgotten trouble of the day. His mind taking the concise break while the others rested in comfortable quarters fit for kings. Stifling his breath, the tranquil male felt his muscles tense at the presence of another. He remained as still as possible, in hopes that they would leave without taking notice of his form hidden between the stretched-out grass.
nature had always left a somewhat positive effect on him, most of the time at least. yet, it was where he was most comfortable; the simplicity, but exuberance of it all. fingertips held a glass, filled almost to it’s very tip with a carmine liquid he had come to love just oh so much. steps clashing softly against grass, a sip was taken by thin lips, bittersweet taste being felt by the god and he was yet to wonder if he could ever adore it even more. and continue to walk would stay as his current action, in searching for entertainment; which, truth to be told, he would never fail in finding, or, by all means, to realize he wasn’t as alone after all. ‘ wakey wakey, ’ he’d start, emerald eyes deciding to finally meet the man. ‘ did you know... that mortals have a saying that one is company, two’s a crowd and three... is a party? i can’t help but wonder whether they are fools or need to learn properly once again. tell me... what do you think? ’
Hecate held a large basket in her arm as she wandered the garden, late at night. A sanctuary she’d found in what was looking to be another hell for herself and the other inhabitants of the manor. The basket she held was one she’d woven herself, with some burnt weed and twigs, within were a awry of plants and berries she’d collected as she’d strolled. She smelled of the aromatic sage she’d burned for her craft alter in her room. The variety of ingredients she was finding gave her hope yet that she would be alright amid the chaos, as she always was. It was hard not to miss the presence of the other, from the ruffling of leaves they left in their wake. The Chthonic Goddess turned gaze shifting before settled on them, taking a moment to make out their face in the darkness. “The witching hour is not one in which many choose to wander…” She mused out loud.
a body could be seen lying down on what seemed to be countless of leaves, fingertips touching anything that felt solid enough; rocks, animals and even a few fruits. eyes remained closed as he trusted enough on his very own experience, porcelain skin shivering slightly with the cool wind and he was able to tell it was night. his attention, however, was threatened to be directed somewhere else as soon as the male heard a voice, ‘ shh. ’ he spoke, breathing calmly. thin fingers ran through nature once more and, after a few seconds, the god was finally able to find what he was truly looking for. emerald irises opened themselves as a small smile graced his features. ‘ there you are. ’ words escaped as he looked the small mushroom on his hands, now willing to give the woman his ( almost ) full attention. ‘ oh, i don’t need an hour for anything. besides... i happen to like the night. it’s where mortals and, quite frankly, some gods finally seem to relax and everything happens. don’t you think so, hecate? ’
“––must you be so loud?”
‘ but i am just getting started! so your answer will be yes, i must. ’
“Aw, c’mon!” Hermes groaned, taking off his homemade monstrous mask. “It was just a joke! No harm intended.”
‘ i was laughing, for olympus’ sake! what are you apologizing for?! ’
Megara had finally wandered in the right direction, and found herself in the gardens. Being trapped indoors for so long made her crave the blessings of nature, and upon seeing it she had to admit, the gardens did not disappoint. With a sigh of relief, she sat herself in a gravel pathway, letting her eyes drink in all the colors and sounds of this new place. Her fascination was cut short at the faint sound of a twig snapping behind her, causing her to stand up in a small panic. “Oh,” she breathed, realizing who the intruder was. “It’s only you.”
fingertips held a bunch of grapes from it’s very beginning as the very last one of all the purple colored fruits touched against his lips. it had been a while since he last found himself wandering around an unknown house, the excitement of something finally new running through the ( once ) god, even if it was merely temporary. oh, how bored he would become sooner rather than later; how angered would dionysus be after finding out nobody could truly leave such a place. steps were given towards the garden, attention being almost non-existent as such food on his hands held the man’s concentration for a small fraction of seconds. then, there it was. a voice. ah, it seemed he wasn’t alone anymore. finally. ‘ ohhh yes. it is only me. you don’t seem to be surprised... which is a pity, because i would’ve loved to see your reaction. ’ he spoke, sunlight shining against a leaf-made necklace. astonished reactions were often interesting, especially if for the first time. ‘ ...would you like a grape? or two, or three. maybe four... no, not four. never four. i’m a giver, not a fool! ’
“—would you like to play? i promise to play fairly. you have my word…”
‘ if i would like to play? aaah, yes! i would love to play. but now, now... fairly... where would all the fun even go if there was ever such a word?! ’
Apollo: Artemis, you know how Dionysus gets when someone tells him what to do.
-flashback-
Zeus: Dionysus, if you get a nose piercing you’re going to military school!
Dionysus: [smirks and leaves]
Dionysus: [comes back with a nose ring] So Zeus, what’s for dinner?
the ancient greek gods are portrayed as doing a lot of petty shit but i think one of my particular favorites is when dionysus gets into argument with a bunch of frogs because he gets annoyed by their croaking
but it was only then i knew that wasn’t wine - that it was blood (x)
