In light of the Golden Kamuy Wild West Zine situation, I wanted to take a moment and share with y'all this informative twitter thread that breaks down why the decision to drape Golden Kamuy in American Western genre aesthetics was more-or-less walking into a minefield of cultural insensitivity.

I think we collectively need to do a better job of actually being respectful to colonized indigenous communities. It's one of Golden Kamuy's core messages, after all.
