There’s something about Studio Ghibli’s Water physics that I love

Like Ghibli has that perfect look of water where yeah, it’s not exactly -realistic- but they capture the perfect feeling.

I love this and now I need to find a collection of gifs oh Ghibli hair. I love when it does the poof thing. None of this is realistic, but it is wonderfully emotive. Emotions usually feel more talk than physics anyways.

Ghibli movies tend to exude an almost dreamlike feeling or a feeling like nostalgia– like, the general mood of the films feel like summer in the country when the sun is shining and it’s quiet and there’s a breeze going, or the smell of fresh cookies from the oven or the way a freshly-laundered quilt feels when it’s wrapped around you by someone you love.

They just FEEL good.  Even the sad movies still give off that same feeling.  It’s almost tangible, but still feels like a fond memory.

It’s really hard to describe kfjhsfjk.

I woke up this morning to see that CNN had made me the face of last night’s rally in NYC…and that hundreds of Trump supporters had made hateful comments on the photo.

The first important point is that this wasn’t a “protest,” as news sites are labeling it, but a rally to action. Comments like “your stupid fucking sign aren’t going to change the fact that he’s president” are missing the point. We know he’s president. And that’s why we gathered to pledge to all write/call/visit our representatives to fight against tens of millions of people losing healthcare, the wall along the Mexican border, the Muslim registry, and rolling back progress on reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, Black Lives Matter, and climate change. I was not carrying a sign, but a promise.

Second, I showed up to the rally not with a sign of hate against Trump, but a message of hope and peace and solidarity for those of us who will suffer if Trump’s team achieves what they’ve promised to do. We aren’t making things up. We’re taking them at their word.

I’ve come to realize that “crybaby liberal” is simply shorthand for “you are advocating for things that do not benefit me personally and that makes me angry,” so that one just rolls off of me now.

Finally, the implications that we are lazy and weak and afraid… if Pence has his way with the First Amendment Defense Act this published photo has the potential to get me fired and denied healthcare for the rest of my life. And yet, there I was, standing right up front with my pride flag. Call me weak again.

Nickelodeon have announced a plan to build an underwater theme park in Coron, Palawan, Philippines. They claim the 400 hectares would “advocate ocean protection,” however by building artificial structures they will actually damage and disrupt Palawan’s marine ecosystems - one of the Philippines most beautiful natural areas.

For a channel that targets children, this is unacceptable and sends a terrible message - to destroy the natural world and replace it with plastic and fantasy.

so for my art project we had to fake a death/murder. for mine I did someone who had jumped off a building. when I was laying down while the picture was being taken, 7 people came running up to me asking if I was okay and if I needed an ambulance etc. I’ve been suicidal for a very long time, and the thoughts of jumping off buildings and ending my life have gone through my mind a thousand times. But the fact that people actually stopped and came running over to see if I was alright made me see that people do care, strangers care. so many people looked and walked past, but these 7 people some how took these suicidal feelings away… weird huh? But the moral of this story is that people do care about you, even people who don’t know who you are.
