So I was looking around and trying to figure out what the hell had happened to Xavier after he was killed by Cyke back in AvX (because X-Men never stay dead and it’s Xavier, for crying out loud), and I found out the most recent comic with Essence of Xavier™ (besides all that other shit with Red Skull and whatever) (wasn’t a huge fan of that) had the Shadow King and some weird version of Chuck where he... took over Fantomex’s body...? What? I’m just. So confused.

I’m really wondering if Hickman’s Dawn of X thing is ever going to acknowledge that weirdness or if we’re just going to pretend that that didn’t happen.

thinking about how maddie goes from a pawn of sinister to being possessed by demons and then dies without getting the chance to take charge of her own life and figure out who she is as a person

it’s great that she gets the chance to fuck sinister up but it sucks that she only has the chance to do that once she’s the goblin queen. there’s some power fantasy-esque moments with her as the goblin queen but ultimately that condition was forced on her nonconsensually and it’s really just an illusion of power. a true madelyne-centric power fantasy would be her giving the middle finger to everyone and taking a few months off to go hang out in a cabin in the middle of nowhere to wear a bunch of comfy bright yellow sweaters and start figuring her shit out, only interacting with nice strangers from the nearest small town when she needs groceries

im so attached to arospec scott who has no idea what romantic feelings are even supposed to feel like and therefore has no clue if he experiences them or not but who really needs an intimate connection with one or two people and who eventually learns that he can have that without it necessarily being romantic. he’s allowed to want to move in with someone and kiss them and hold their hand without having to do mental cartwheels trying to figure out the exact nature of his feelings for them
