–From a Certain Point of View: “There is Another” I’M HAVING FEELINGS AGAIN. I think the use of “Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Rejoice for those who transform into the Force.” is summed up by one of the lines I will always rescue from the JA novels:
The Jedi are human (or alien equivalent) and Yoda isn’t a saint any more than any other living, breathing being. He struggles. He seeks peace and acceptance and enlightenment. Sometimes he gets there, sometimes he doesn’t. It’s never been about having to be perfect, but about the seeking rather than the sainthood.
#yoda#yes this is what i’ve been saying about the fixed versus growth mindset#the jedi are very much in the growth mindset and when fandom interprets them with a fixed mindset it turns into uncharitable takes#discussion#also i like that quote from obi-wan it’s good (via @jedi-order-apologist) #jedi#yoda#yes. this.#it’s about setting your mind on what you want to accomplish or become#a goal mental or physical#and committing to it while doing the best in your power to hold true to your ideals#and for the jedi those goals will be based on ideals of selflessness and compassion#as an integral part of their cultural identity#it’s about the striving for it#but not necessarily the attainment of it#journey over destination#always#i love them (via @trickytricky1) THANKS FOR BRINGING THE FEELS ONTO THIS POST YOU GUYS
