[[Psst so I'm working on writing some eBooks/short stories and I was kind of pondering doing a story loosely based on Bran and the Wendigo's interactions (different characters and professions, entirely independent universe). Are you alright with it if I incorporate some of the traits you have for Hannidigo? Namely the shedding of tissue to keep himself from becoming too enormous and easy to find, being able to work off the hunger in -other- ways, etc.]]

The Wendigo’s too-long fingers twisted around its prey, causing a tremendous crack that rang through its basement. It lowered the long, bone-white head and pressed its muzzle against the chest of the prey, then took a large bite, chewing and snapping and snarling as it consumed the flesh that kept it from the prey’s heart. When it had exposed the chest cavity, it shoved its claws into the ribcage and yanked it open with another crack! 

Then the doorbell rang.

In a flurry of activity, the Wendigo threw itself away from the meal and shoved the bloodied corpse into a plastic tub. It headed slowly out of the basement, feathers and hair and thick black skin giving way to its human form. It was a well-dressed eastern european man by the time it answered the door.

"Hello." It said smoothly. "Can I help you?"

"Come here, little morsel."

It should worry him that his pet name is in reference to food, considering how very real a possibility that could be some day. But then, that’s part of the thrill of it, isn’t it? Even at his calmest, the risk is there. Bran feels his face warming up, and is he fucking blushing like a schoolboy over his first crush? Really? 

"Why?" He shifts up close to the beast, trying to reclaim some of his confidence with half-lidded eyes and a hint of sass in his murmur. "Are ye plannin’ tae eat me up?"

As usual, the Wendigo leans in to Bran nose first, taking a whiff of his hair, then reaching out a hand to curl it over one of the young man's shoulders. It has become accustomed to this arrangement, spending nights at Bran's, petting his hair, letting its scent sink into the apartment.

It had not eaten Bran yet, obviously, though it did still feel the exact same amount of hunger as it had the very first morning it had discovered itself in bed with him. There was no satisfying the hunger, only feeding it so that the Wendigo was not consumed by it itself.

"You are very small." It murmurs, lips curling slightly as it bares its teeth against Bran's hair. Then it dips back slightly, lowering its head further and pecking Bran once on the lips. It slides a large hand down Bran's side, easily slipping it over his hip. "I could lift you with one arm."
