“Yeah, I’m trying to figure out how you tick, for one. Besides, I’m kind of known for being reckless. I’ve got the damage fine record, after all.” He tries to give a smug smirk to hide the nerves that are beginning to tighten inside of him. The way they do whenever he’s going into a situation where he has no clue of the outcome. He knows what outcome he wants, of course, but that’s in no way a guarantee.
By the time they reach his loft, Kotetsu is confident he has a firm control over his nerves. That he can do this. That the outcome he envisions is actually attainable.
Then again, he’s still sober.
“Whiskey okay for you?”
“That’s fine with me. I can drink anything.” Kotetsu looked around the apartment. It was far cleaner than he had ever thought it would be. He figured the man was a total slob if anything.
“Find out how I tick, hm? Well physically it’s not any different than you. And mentally, it’s just the opposite. Simple as that.”
Pouring the amber liquid into two glasses, he uses the time it takes as a distraction, thinking of a proper response. "Just the opposite, huh?" Walking over, he handed the man the drink, taking a sip of his own before continuing. "I don't really think it's that simple."
