the era of 123 lets go bitch and surprise song o’clock and waiting for taylor to get off the stage to come onto tumblr and discovering which delicate dress she would wear and freaking out over the occasional special guests and watching her smile during long live and crying when our friends posted pictures of them with their roll call paper announcing they were meeting taylor and even more friends getting picked by andrea to meet taylor after the show and feeling the literal heat from the idsb fires and going to church during dbm and the audience waving during go go go in getaway car and laughing during tiwwchnt and crying during nyd and seeing taylor play with her cute bangs and running to barricade during komh and getting whiplash from the story/ybwm and shouldve said no/bad blood mashups, and seeing the loie fuller images during dress!!! and so many people got to experience this so many times after a relatively seamless and fairer system of getting tickets. so many ppl got tickets day of their shows for $40!! it was just…. so magical i miss it!

For example, in the past presale codes would have ticket windows that were 2-3 hrs long and that’s when you would log in to shop. So instead of 5 million people logging on at the same exact time at 10 AM, people had windows spread over two days when they would shop and their presale code would work. So servers wouldn’t crash as easily. It makes no sense what Ticketmaster was even thinking tbh. Why didn’t Taylor’s promoter require this format? Demand is obviously higher than ever. Baffled at how POORLY this was planned on all fronts in the year of our lord 2022

like i can't stress enough that i am still and always will be on taylor's side. i don't expect her to just fix everything and be flawless. but my heart is breaking for all the fans who have been on her side through all the various eras of vitriol only to have to go through this experience and pay for overpriced tickets or not get tickets at all while people who have bullied us for being on her side giddily get tickets with little to no effort. it just sucks.

i think people (whether you got seats or not) can be upset at this process, upset with ticketmaster, upset at the exorbitant number of VIP seats and their cost, upset at the failed boost system, upset at the way presale was handle AND, not hate taylor or wish ill upon her or start calling her dirty names. This is not a binary. You can be frustrated and majorly upset and be devastated and hurt it didn't work out for yourself /your friends /even for strangers you follow on tumblr without holding taylor personally responsible. also please dont get mad at people who did get tickets. That isn't fair either.
