Everyone say Ogre stupid and it true! Ogre has been playing Hollow Knight, but Ogre can only understand surface level themes like Perseverance and Breaking the Cycle and can't comprehend deep ideas like "Don't dash directly in an enemy's hit box" that make Team Cherry's metroidvania an indie gaming classic! Ogre so dumb! It make Ogre sad! At this rate Ogre will never understand Silksong!

Ever since I heard this Mitski song, I've been dreaming about making this animatic. I finally made it. I've never made an animatic before, so please excuse my mistakes. I'm going to make a simpler one in the future! Maybe...

I watched this very good analysis of Ralsei's role and character in Deltarune, and before watching it I was pretty sure that Ralsei is the horns headband or some monstersona drawing Kris made as a kid, but I'm not so sure anymore.

The video makes some good arguments against it: Ralsei does not behave in ways you would expect Kris' monstersona to behave, his personality does not match what we know of Kris (currently or younger), and he does not know Kris very well, which is odd if he was created as an extension of Kris.

Even if you try to explain those differences as Ralsei representing Kris' desire to fit in with their family, that means Ralsei was some sort of ideal self that Kris had, but I don't think Ralsei is the kind of person Kris has ever aspired to be, even if it meant to fit in with their family better.

There's a theory someone wrote in the comments of the video and I wanted to share it because I really liked it: It's about Ralsei not being a drawing/sona made by Kris, but rather a drawing made by Asriel picturing how his new sibling would be like:

It honestly makes a lot of sense and I find it interesting because this way Ralsei gets to represents the expectations Asriel had for his new sibling and indirectly represents Kris' desire to fit in. This also explains why Kris seemed so uneasy towards Ralsei and disliked him at first.

kris seeing through their hand in the shadow crystal. all the "severed hand"/"guy who wakes up without a hand" references in the new chapters. berdly having his entire arm paralyzed in the hospital if you didn't spare him in chapter 2. toby fox talking about his chronic wrist pain often preventing him from coding and playing. learning to navigate his disability and how working in a team makes developing games possible for him, even if they don't perfectly represent his vision. the piano as THEE representation of kris' freedom and individuality outside of their role as The Cage. the option to tell susie that Kris will keep playing if she learns to play piano too...

if kris loses their hand and deltarune ends with a 3-hand concert where susie plays alongside them i am going to walk straight into the ocean
