I've given this a little more thought and heres them ranked based on how much they hate their job from lowest to highest

6. Donna. She's thriving. I think Donna's specific brand of hyperawareness of people's perceptions of her would translate well into recognising what appeals to consumers. She also gets to exert her creativity which is a bonus. Downside is that she's prone to overworking herself but she's employee of the month every month which has to count for something, right? (She tells herself this through gritted teeth)

5. Kory. She enjoys interacting with people and customers are drawn to her warmth, which makes her very successful. However, as soon as she clocks out she's completely unreachable and will ignore any attempts at contact bc this job isn't THAT important. I think she has many other hobbies that she partakes in and is generally very active during the weekend. I was also playing with the idea that she's still an alien, in which case everything is new and exciting to her. I think she doesn't necessarily love her job and would be happier doing something that was more meaningful, but she doesn't hate the work and likes the people she's surrounded with.

4. Vic. He would rather not be in an office job but this is where he landed up after his accident. At first, he was just working to have something to do, but now he's made some good friends and realised that since this job is easy for him, it leaves him with a lot more energy for other pursuits (e.g. volunteer work on weekends)

3. Gar. He wanted to be a movie star but his adoptive father is forcing him to intern at his stupid company. He was happily surprised to find many beautiful women here and often tries to make small talk with them, but Donna doesn't appreciate the distraction and has taken to sending him on coffee runs to increasingly obscure and distant cafés whenever he tries to talk to her or the other women for too long. Kory quickly caught on to what Donna was doing and contributes in her own way by ordering a different drink each time (usually the strangest one on the menu).

2. Dick. He's bored out of his mind and hates the 9 to 5 lifestyle, but at least he's putting his degree to use and making a living away from home (au where he finished university). Every once in a while he goes to the building's roof and stands on the edge just to feel something.

1. Raven. Every day is a nightmare for her and she has no idea why she's in this position (she does actually know - she's inexplicably good at handling personal relations, as long as they are between other people and not herself. She can quickly get to the root of the issue and can make incredibly shrewd judgements of character. This doesn't mean she enjoys what she does). The others notice she's stressed out and ask her if she wants to change positions, but Raven is fundamentally a person who doesn't believe she deserves good things, so she always brushes off their concern.

Finally finished university, which means I can get back to drawing our favourite girl. ✨

thinking about vic planning on coming out and medically transitioning once she's an adult, only for the accident to happen and her dad to give her a very traditionally masculine body because he thinks that's what she wants. she wakes up and looks at herself and she feels like her entire life is over, but in the end she takes back control and literally rebuilds her entire body to make it into something that feels right

This article is 2 years old, and since then its gotten worse! The NT govt now directs people to income management as well! And, the latest stats show that, surprise surprise, these policies have done absolutely nothing to address the falling school attendance.

ALSO I dislike when the name Signal is collapsed into being just about him patrolling in the daytime or his powers because ultimately Signal is about his philosophy. It's about wanting to be a hero like his mom, to be a knight and a force against darkness, to be the first on the battlefield signifying both a belief in personal responsibility and a desire to be a symbol for his community. TO BE SIGNAL IS TO BE A SIGN OF THE FUTURE, A HERALD OF THE ONCOMING DAWN!!!!

i just think mark waid is so utterly incompetent as a batman and robin writer that it's embarrassing and every piece of writing i see from him is further evidence of the dominance of dcs boys club that perpetually rewards their at best mediocre male writing stable so long as they make sales instead of giving any fucks about the quality of their work. and thank god world's finest is its own continuity
