rank the titans from most to least victim ? for me ?
I will rank them based on. My intuition đââïž and which ones I have something to say about. Also disclaimer I am not a hardcore fan of all these guys these are just what I got from reading them
Raven. I debated on whether Koriandâr should get this spot but I think that you could at least plausibly do Koriandârâs backstory without sexual abuse, even if it would be not good. Raven if you take out all the gothic incest themes in her character⊠what the fuck is left. Like every Raven plot that Iâve read revolves around her being a child of rape, being raped, or raping other people while mind controlled by her father or whatever the fuck that plot was. She bags the first spot effortlessly
Tara Markov. Her story, if you ignore the fuckass Marv Wolfman of it all, revolves around her exploitation at the hands of a man several decades her senior. Her entire character, to me, is a meditation on how we treat unpleasant victims and the psychology of people who think theyâre beyond helping. Sheâs so dear to my heart and any attempt to remove Slade SAing her from the story is a crime.
Dick Grayson. He is a canonical SA victim, otherwise he would be in fourth. As I type this Iâm dilly-dallying over whether I think he actually deserves the third place but Iâm gonna give it to him because itâs not that serious. Iâm gonna be honest, when I talk about him being a SA victim Iâm almost always thinking about the rape subtext (and canonical emotional incest) between him and Bruce, but whoever you think the perpetrator was, itâs something that if you consider it it is. So woven into his character. Everything about him screams grooming victim, and his trauma shows up in so many little aspects of his character that itâs kind of impressive it was done accidentally. Also the Liu arc sucks so bad but is a deeply visceral depiction of the aftermath of abuse and everyone who can stomach the racism should read it.
This might be controversial but Iâm going to make Koriandâr and Grant Emerson share fourth place. Theyâre both canonical rape victims whoâs abuse is thematically important, and while Grant loses points for his CSA being retconned in I think Kori loses points because often when reading her it felt like her own writers forgot she was a sex slave or just like⊠did not think it was something that had an impact on her. Overall in my heart their abuse is of the same importance
Victor Stone. The loss of autonomyyyyyyy itâs fucking killing me. POV you are used as a science experiment and socially isolated from your peers and then your dad remakes your body in an explicitly traumatic way. Iâm rephrasing my recent post about him, youâve seen it, just know he is soooo abused to me. Very victim
Donna Troy. So this is a very tentative rating, because I donât actually know how old she was when Terry met. If she was 18, then Terry is a creep obviously but I wouldnât call what I saw nonconsensual. Sucky! Shouldnât have happened! But. Overall đ€·. If she WAS under 18: Ough. The panel in her wedding issue where she says she feels like a little girl when marrying him haunts me, someone save her
Wally West. I donât know him but the secret keeping with Barry is giving. Very not good. Also some of my mutuals think he was molested and I trust them.
Who am I missing uhhhh Garth! Garth has potential. Thereâs a lot of stuff with him and Arthurâs power imbalance.
Roy Harper. Heâs only on this list because I enjoy making him suffer. Thereâs the thing with Ollie but the thing with Ollie is not something I seriously think happened.
Oh Mia Dearden was a Titan! Right obviously being sexually abused is a huge part of her backstory. Sheâs so low on this list because I literally only remembered her at 10. I donât read gen 3
Garfield Logan is half the reason the girls on this list are on this list
