FAQ
Whadda hell is this blog?
So you know how there exist multiple Sonic the Hedgehog comics, right? Published by Archie Comics, Fleetway Editions, IDW, etc. You'd probably seen memes of the older two, maybe even grew up on them, and of course plenty of Sonic fans have their eyes on the current comics. This blog exists to showcase the wide variety of non-Sonic comics that people who worked on this have been involved with. Whether pointing out some big name creator had worked on Sonic stuff, finding non-Sonic work from creators mainly associated with Sonic comic, or just digging random obscure hidden gems and horseshit.
What does the formatting on the credits indicate?
Bolded & italicized names is used to indicate that the person in question has worked on Sonic comics. For example: Ken Penders.
Names that are merely italicized indicate "Honorable Mentions". These are people who don't fit the criteria of "Have worked on an official Sonic the Hedgehog comic" but I feel like they need to be highlighted for other reasons. The most prominent being having worked on a non-comic piece of Sonic media (like Milton Knight) and having worked on Sonic the Comic's non-Sonic strips (like Stephen Baskerville), but there are others. Works must have someone who has actually worked on a Sonic Comic to be posted, anything with just Honorable Mentions doesn't qualify.
Finally, a * next to a role (for example: Inks*:) signifies that multiple people are credited for a role, we don't know exactly who worked on which pages, and not all of them worked on Sonic, meaning there's a chance that the page/panel posted might not actually involve any Sonic people.
Why do Editorial credits only show up sometimes?
Generally I only include editorial credits if at least one member of the editorial team has worked on Sonic comics or is an Honorable Mention.
Do you plan on posting Webcomics?
Yes, though I feel like there's a lot of things I'm gonna keep in mind with what I consider fair to post to the blog. Not gonna dig up someone's old edgy comic that requires the wayback machine to access, for example.
When the hell did [INSERT PERSON HERE] work on Sonic? Why does [INSERT PERSON HERE] qualify as an Honorable Mention?
The ask box is open so feel free to hit me up.
Can I suggest comics for you to post?
Feel free! Again, the ask box is open.
Why in god's fuck do some of these posts have community labels!?
Did ya know that Mark Millar worked on Sonic the Comic back in the day?
