The #DCxSonic got me thinking about how DC has its own version of Sonic & Eggman if they wanted. Krakkl, the dc version of Sonic from the flash and Egg Fu the evil genius egg shaped wonder woman villain.
Gonna make a AU out of this bc DC is probably not going to anything with these two anyway.
Is Sonic Faster Than The Flash?
The short answer is no. Now for the long answer......... Btw this will be over the game canon Sonic, because that's which version this is.
So in the the recent DC X SONIC THE HEDGEHOG #1 comic there is a single panel where Sonic runs past the Flash which has gotten a lot of people claiming Sonic is faster than the Flash. However, aside from it being a single panel where Sonic passes him up, afterwards we see the 2 of them still running around the same speed. Neither are likely running at their top speed in this instance.
For reasoning I say this for Flash I'll get into in a minute, as for Sonic. As I established in a previous post of mine is Sonic doesn't usually fight or run at his top speed. I have pointed out the times we have seen him go what is likely his top speed aka during Sonic 06's Mach Speed sections he trouble controlling his body.
As for the Flash, first off to established which Flash this is. Flash when seeing Sonic thinks he is Krakkl while having a surprised look on his face, which is specifically Wally West's childhood friend. This confirms to use this is the Wally West Flash, btw keep a pin in the Krakkl bit of info. This means we can confirm this Flash can at least reach Light Speed, as stated on page 115 of The DC Comics Encyclopedia The Definitive Guide To The Characters Of The DC Universe. "Tapping into the Force made Wally the fastest Flash of them all, able to run at the speed of light."
This means this Flash is far faster than Sonic as Sonic can only run at supersonic speed, and even as Super Sonic is still unable to reach light speed only being able to reach sublight speed while in flight. This is a bit of information I talked about in a previous post, and Sonic only being able run at supersonic speed actual explains why Metal Sonic can keep up with him.
But light speed isn't even Wally's top speed, remember Krakkl? Well he's relevant again.... A bit of credit to The Imaginary Axis' video How Fast is the Flash? for this bit of info. So in The Flash The Human Race comic, the Flash races Krakkl to decide the fate of both their worlds with one being destroyed. During this the Flash goes ends up going into trans-time velocity aka a speed so fast no word exists to describe it, and as the Imaginary Axis states in the video the smallest unit of time that exists is called a planck instant. This means Wally West Flash is able to go faster than a planck instant, let alone the speed of light. So by far it's no even close for Sonic, as the Flash definitely out speeds Sonic, with all other Flashs close behind Wally. And that's not even getting into the whole insanity of all the crises and the Black Racer. Written by Eris
