i think it's fine if women have an inflated view of their own intelligence bc the average man with slightly more brain function than a jellyfish thinks of himself as a tortured genius
it's really is like there's a torture machine for women and everybody knows about it and it's called the Women's Torture Machine and everyone's like "yesssss let's put women in the torture machine" so they teach little girls to embrace the torture machine and they force every woman they can inside & every so often there's someone who isn't a woman but shares enough characteristics w society's constructed definition of womanhood that they're are like "close enough into the torture machine you go" & anytime a woman goes "it's unforgivably evil that women have to live w the threat of the torture machine" people on tumblr dot com go "ummmm actually it's not just women that get put in the torture machine are you a terf"
I do sorta wonder if women are likely to identify with so many labels and categories they perceive as "more marginalized" because the marginalization they experience as women already isn't taken seriously even in progressive spaces
hey there's a blog going around @/transandroterf that seems to be reblogging transmasc/dysphoric radfem's & ftm separatist's posts in an attempt to justify transfems harassing the transmascs that speak up about hoe they're treated.
ftm radfems & separatists i would encourage you to block this guy so you don't end up on their blog
it was coined because you fuckin ghouls have such a victim complex that you think the handmaidens TMEs speaking out of turn is a threat on your life.

also while i'm on my gym rat ramblings. women's clothing is literally straight up not made for women with muscles, even workout clothing. i come from an athletic family where many of us are naturally muscular and both me and my sister grew up in our brother's shirts because the shoulders in women's/girl's clothes are ridiculously small. i've ripped every women's dress shirt i've ever owned. if you have any amount of quad muscle you have to buy straight cut pants/mom jeans for them to even kinda fit. the women's clothing industry actively discourages women gaining muscle mass in their designs and i feel like people don't talk about it!!!!
honestly i think working out can be a form of feminist praxis. i think it's important for those of us who are physically able to work our bodies and gain strength to do so in order to help better aid the women in our lives who can't. and i don't mean this in a "losing weight" way i mean it in a getting physically stronger and more resilient way. every time my female friends call me to help them move out or help with heavy lifting that needs done, that's important to me. i have friends who are disabled whose plans for escaping a building fire include me potentially carrying them. i wear tank tops when i'm going to the bar with female friends because i can be a deterrent, even if my muscles aren't really all that big. sometimes, just the presence of a woman who is clearly willing to put up a fight is enough of a deterrent - they want easy targets. on more than one occasion i've had little girls tell me that they've never seen a woman with big arms before. obviously my praxis includes a lot more than working out but i think it's often underdiscussed as a method of supporting the women in your life - physically.
the struggle of deciding whether to get my hair trimmed or to succumb to the mullet that will inevitably occur if i don't
I saw a video that claimed “lesbian 101” is that “sandbags”—breasts—ruin an outfit. First of all, since when was lesbian 101 anything other than breasts are a gift from God herself? Second of all, can we please quit this trend of finding increasingly stupid ways of referring to breasts, a natural body part that 50% of the human population has, as something negative that’s some sort of burden or hindrance separate from the body? Not only is it misogynistic, but it’s an incredibly unhealthy way of viewing your body.
If you think boobs ruin an outfit I truly question if you are a lesbian lol. Do you go to art museums and just look at the frames???
for all of you:

also reminder: lesbians and gender-non-conforming women will always exist, no matter how hard homophobic bigots try to erase us and erode our language and history, and that makes me so happy <3 keep on being you! i love you all!

>transfem acting like their misogyny is actually feminist
men do not care what gender you are. if they decide you are worthy of harm, they will enact it with their hands. they will do it in front of an audience.
honestly, we desperately need to start building solidarity amongst transmascs/ftms, butches, dysphoric women, and gnc women. i think that expressing female masculinity/transmasculinity in a world where those traits are so widely shamed in female people leads to a sort of warped self-perception and a general feeling of being an outsider in female/feminist spaces, like they aren't meant for you. we're only going to resolve that by creating spaces specifically for these groups to build kinship w/ each other.
