You’re Going To Have To Decapitate Me

ANYWAY. this took about four hours on and off and i’ve still only reached the tip of the iceberg for this and although i’m fucking exuasted i am also amazed, nostalgic, and slightly tearful. it’s amazing to think of how much this fandom has done. homestuck is one of the longest works of fiction in the english language, and the fan content is so staggering it has possibly become bigger than the comic itself.

It’s just been amazing to be in this fandom, and to never get really bored, or go without reading new content, old content, fan produced or otherwise. there’s always been fan competitions, rps, forums, meetups, fanadventures to look or participate in or even make from scratch. this fandom has done so much in the 7 years it’s been around. and whether you’ve been around for all of it or only a week, there’s always been something to enjoy. i’ve made so many friends out of this comic. i’ve speculated, written, drawn, cosplayed, rped, cried, Discourse’d, and even at some point probably rapped, for this fandom. and it’s sense of inclusion and community is honestly something i’ll miss the most. even if you weren’t a bnf or actively producing content, there was so much content to discuss you’d make friends and feel part of something either way. chaotic, self deprecating, emotional or not, this fandom has created something. and it’s a really fucking good thing.

A QUICK EXPLANATION

Because I see some people are confused about what all just happened.

Lord English is nearly unkillable. This is because of the power given to him by Caliborn’s dead session. The special thing about a dead session, if you remember, is that you automatically get the hardest denizen (Yogurtboner) and you are given The Choice: carry out the session, live, beat Yodlebooger, and become an unstoppable killing machine, or don’t, die, and end all suffering in all of paradox space.

Caliborn, obviously, chose the former. We see him breaking the clock, which tells when he dies, rendering him unkillable and giving him an incredible amount of power. Here’s the thing about his power, though: it’s really, REALLY massive. So massive, it has to be supplied by a giant sun that’s 2 multiverses large. Enter the Green Sun.

Alt!Calliope, of course, comes from a timeline where she carried out the session. In this session, she chose the alternative choice. By sacrificing herself, she destroyed the Green Sun, thereby draining LE’s power and rendering him killable. In short, LE can be fucked up by any old weapon now.

Any weapon, especially the one weapon meant to be able to destroy him even when he was hyped up on Green Sun power. We can safely assume that the HS juju has successfully destroyed LE once and for all.

And by destroying LE, Alt!Calliope has eliminated the major cause of suffering in paradox space. Assuming that the further stipulations of The Choice do extend beyond LE, I’d like to think that ALL suffering is gone. Like, all of the dream bubbles are destroyed and all the ghosts can live on Earth with everyone else. And Vriska is still alive. And (Vriska) is still happy.

In summary, suffering is gone. That’s the end. No more suffering. You can all live peacefully knowing that your faves are no longer suffering.

Act 7, to my understanding

- Rings are thrown in volcano. This kickstarts the production of the new Genesis Frog.

- With the conditions for the new universe met by Echidna, the new tadpole begins to take root in the kid’s original Skaia, as shrunk, held, and then released by Jade. It travels to the center of the hole that John carved out when he extracted The Tumor, which was stopping the kid’s genesis frog from taking root. The Frog emerges, fully grown, and creates a complete new universe.

- Alt Calliope, meanwhile, destroys the Cherub’s Green Sun, and uses it’s power to create a massive, massive black hole, to destroy the old universe into the void, along with herself.

- Vriska, during the fight, deploys Caliborn’s juju, and opens it up. This creates a stable time loop that releases the kids, when they were captured by Caliborn, allowing their beings not to be tied to this universe. This switches the door they are standing in front of to the door to the new universe.

- John opens the door- through his touching the handle, everyone from their session was transported to the new Universe. Yes, everyone. Your favs are fine. (Gamzee might be there too).

- Once in the new Universe, Jade deploys Roxy’s Earth, which was the culmination of their plan- to terraform and live on that with their friends and the carapaces.

- When Lord English attacks the Juju, the door opens- on the other side. Lord English is now trapped inside.

- Using the power of the Green Sun, Alt Calliope destroys the old universe. She and everything else is gone. However, Caliborn destroying the clock means he is unkillable- and the juju is indestructible. So in the old universe, sealed in his own juju, exists Lord English. Forever quarantined to the unknowing void, floating through space.

- The last thing we see, when the kids enter, is an unprototyped kernelsprite, which signifies the circular nature of Homestuck- the “new game plus” if you will. That SBURB will return, somehow, to this new universe, and it will all begin again, eventually.
