Medic and whumpee captured together, medic desperately trying to walk Whumpee through first aid before they pass out from blood loss, unable to get to them.
Leader whumpee getting beat to shit in clear view of their team and none of them can help.
Rivals/enemies captured together, watching the other get hurt and realizing in the worst way possible that some part of them cares for the other.
Whumpee with a history of substance abuse gets drugged by Whumper. They go back to their Team afterwards, still a little out of it from drugs and blood loss, but instead of being concerned, the Team accuse them of a relapse. It's only when they see the marks on Whumpee's body that they realise how very wrong they were.
this year's prompts were sourced through an open suggestion form, where over 6,000 prompts were submitted. after, the best 100 prompts were voted on in a poll which received 6,265 votes. the top 28 were rearranged into the 28 prompts of febuwhump - with the most voted prompt in the number 1 position ("I like you better broken", 1,959 votes) - while the alternate prompts were selected from the mod's personal favourites of the remaining options.
this is such a great list of prompts, and i'm so excited to see what creativity they spark with you!

shock collar? shock whumpee when they 'misbehave'! ticking time bomb for a collar? the anxiety, you have to get it off or do whatever whumper wants so the bomb will be disarmed reverse spiked collar? move your neck the wrong way you get poked
silver collar? good for vampires and werewolfs, itll burn them!! or a magic collar that slowly drains the whumpee of their life!
started thinking of that one scene in saw with those laser collars put your whumpee through that, they have to do something in a time period or their head becomes a fucking flower
2. tie your whumpee to the back of a truck and fucking drive, drag the whumpee through a rocky, dirty, and muddy, path. all those cuts, bruises, bones may have even been popped out of the socket, stiff neck if it was by the throat. if it was by the throat it would choke your whumpee, leave marks, brusises, sore throat, stiff neck, everything hurts. if whumper never took care of the injuries after, its bound theyll get infected, so much grossness is in dirt, so many germs and bacteria, bonus points if whumpee gets thrown in a dark dirty room uping the chances of infection!!

I think that using others as bait is underrated. Like I feel like I hear it talked about sometimes, but rarely actually have stories with it. I feel like the emotional impact of using someone that’s close to another character as bait could add so much to so many whump stories.
