he’s literally rigging the election and next to nothing’s being done about it what the actual fucking living hell
HE’S LITERALLY TARGETING USPS IN BLUE AREAS WHERE HE LOST THE LAST ELECTION
If you feel unsafe about voting in person (because, y’know, we’re in the middle of a goddam pandemic) but now fear the USPS will be unable to deliver a “mail-in” ballot in a timely fashion….
1. Request a mail-in ballot.
2. Do not mail it.
3. Google your supervisor of elections to see where you can drop off your mail-in ballot. It’s usually NOT THE POLLING PLACE.
All states allow this! Here is what you’re accomplishing by doing this:
1. Your ballot gets in on time no matter what happens to the USPS.
2. You don’t have to worry about standing in long lines and risking infection. You’re just stopping by to drop it off.
3. You voted! Hooray! I have no doubt Trump and his supporters are doing to try to call into question the legitimacy of mail-in voting (which is more enthusiastically embraced by Democratic supporters, especially now.)
Also, when you drop it off, find out how to track it online to make sure it is verified. California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado have systems that can track your ballot just like tracking a package from Amazon.
All CA vote centers (which are open for weeks to a month before election day) have ballot drop-off boxes too! Many government buildings have them as well, so there’s no need to wait until election day when it’s crowded to drop them off. The list of drop-off sites is always posted on each county’s voter info website.
This is important! This election is crucial! Get out and vote! We! Cannot! Afford! To! Get! Complacent! This year, every vote matters!
ALSO THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT:
DO NOT OFFER TO TAKE SOMEONE ELSE’S BALLOT FOR THEM, EVEN IF IT’S ALREADY SEALED.
Take the person and let them drop off their own ballot.
I know, I know. It seems like a very nice thing to do. It means you could do a neighborhood ballot drive and do a lot to protect public health and safety. I completely agree with whatever protest you’re making mentally right now.
BUT IT COUNTS AS A FORM OF VOTER FRAUD.
Yes, I’m serious. Taking someone else’s ballot if you are not a mail carrier or an elections official is considered tampering. I literally saw someone at my last election drop his ballot (Arizona still votes on paper) and when his partner went to pick it up an official all but tackled her to keep his ballot from being invalided.
Don’t do it. It WOULD be the nice thing to do. Especially right now, when you could protect older or immunocompromised neighbors from exposure. I agree. It would boost turnout. I agree. But it can and will get votes thrown out. Instead, offer rides to the polls or the drop-off location.
this is the most frightening ad i’ve encountered on here
Scientists invented fabric that makes electricity from motion and sunlight. To create the fabric, researchers at Georgia Tech wove together solar cell fibers with materials that generate power from movement. It could be used in “tents, curtains, or wearable garments,” meaning we’d virtually never be without power. Source
Y'all are fucking idiots. Clean energy will NEVER be enough to replace the energy we have now. We’d have to tear down DOZENS of forests just to fit enough windmills and solar panels to get even a QUARTER (probably less, tbh) of the energy we can produce now.
Yeah, sure, when they’ve already calculated that a few square miles of panels in the empty ass Arizona desert could power the whole nation. But ok, fracking and the diminishing petroleum supply is worlds better.
Nevermind that windmills are often most efficient off the coast. There they take up no land, impact no trees, don’t pollute the water, and are conveniently located where winds are often strongest anyway.
And solar panels can literally be built into roofs of buildings and in empty areas like deserts. The sun strikes the Earth with the same amount of energy in an hour that our civilization uses in a year.
But yeah, it would be impossible for us to ever have enough energy from clean sources.
Durr hurr technology is bad and I would rather light shit on fire than have clean energy
I can also testify to the Arizona desert being empty ass. And the California desert. And the Nevada desert.
also…no forests were cleared to make space for Denmark’s windmills and yet they regularly produce so much power that it covers almost all of the country’s power needs. Oh, and then there’s the times when the windmills generate 140% of Denmark’s power needs. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jul/10/denmark-wind-windfarm-power-exceed-electricity-demand
Friendly reminder that oil pipelines are a scam.
The fact that anyone can believe a limited amount of dinosaur oil is more plentiful and efficient than moving air or fucking sunlight is proof that entire populations can be completely brainwashed.
And don’t forget wave and geothermal power.
The best place to install solar? Parking lots! Here’s the Community Mercantile in LFK:
Not only can it supply almost all the power needed for stores that build these, it also reduces ambient heating from the roasting pavement and keeps cars covered from the elements.
Everyone wins!
The ways we can produce sustainable, renewable energy grow by the year. There is zero reason to keep maintaining oil and natural gas industries!
The only reason we still use fossil fuels is that rich people are selfish.

for all of u who dont understand or want to understand what an asexual person is
Raising asexual awareness every reblog
I’m so glad I found this, I’ve had many questions about asexuality and this answered them. Time to inform some ignorant assholes.
Oh.
i know a certain group of people who really needs this…… :3c
You can be asexual if you are rarely attracted to people, it’s called grey-asexuality :)
Or if you only feel attraction once you’re close to someone, that’s demisexuality
Yes! Demi and gray-A are both under the ace spectrum! What isn’t ace is if you regularly feel sexual attraction to complete strangers you have no emotional investment in at all.
