My thoughts on Eridian reproduction (quick disclaimer I haven’t read the book or watched the movie but I like speculative biology)
I know in the lore they apparently lay eggs? But that’s such an earth view of reproduction. Asexual fragmentation is so much cooler! They’re basically rocky little starfish. The secret option is a basis for a eridian grace au I might illustrate
still trying to get a set idea of how to draw grace...
Grace goes swimming! Rocky is not thrilled.
Eridians cant "hold their breath" like humans do, their vents dont close completly so water can still get in, if they fall in water they drown and die. safe to say rocky is not a fan of when grace does it for fun xD

You won’t find this pigeon on the streets of New York City. Meet the Pink-necked Green Pigeon (Treron vernans)! This colorful bird can be found throughout Southeast Asia, where it inhabits forests. It hangs out in small flocks in the treetops, foraging mainly for fruit. Distinguishing males from females isn’t too difficult: Females lack pink necks and are mostly olive-green in color!

I think if humans layed eggs then our bosses would still make us come into work even after laying eggs... they'd say "get an incubator! you don't need to watch them!" and we would be forced into work every day instead of sitting on our eggs, so tragic! so cruel!!!!!
