NEW ANIMAL CROSSING: AMIIBO FESTIVAL FIGURES REVEALED

Four new Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival figures have been added to the roster! Say hello to Blathers, The Nintendo Japan website states a december 17, 2015 release date. 

The Amiibo website of Japan shows a total of 12 Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival figures, with new amiibo for Blathers, Celeste, Resetti and Kicks. Also available is a bundle with Isabelle and Digby for about $53, scheduled for launch November 21st in Japan.

SUPER MARIO MAKER STAGE COMING TO SMASH BROS

We’re getting a massive amount of DLC content this Fall for Smash Bros like costume packs, extra characters, and even an amiibo for every single playable character. More? There’s more you say?!

Yup. Coming to Smash Bros this September 30th will be a Super Mario Maker stage! The stage will be randomly generated, using its variety of different skin packs. If a player destroys some blocks, the Mario Maker hand can appear to re-draw them back into place.

CHARACTER DETAILS REVEALED WITH NEW TOPPS STAR WARS JOURNEY TO THE FORCE AWAKENS TRADING CARDS

If you haven’t got your copy yet, now’s a perfect time. The latest issue of Star Wars Insider contains 2 exclusive free trading cards from Topps’ latest Star Wars series ‘Star Wars: The Journey to the Force Awakens’, inspired by some of their classic older designs. Although this issue was released on September 8th, there’s been quite a buzz around it, not only because the exclusive cards look pretty amazing, or because they’ve stashed a pair of autographed cards by a Star Wars legend in two lucky subscribers’ issues, but word on the street is they’re actually giving off a few spoilers for The Force Awakens. 

Here are some of the Force Awakens cards fans have been getting excited about:

• #11 – BB-8 on the move

• #53 – Poe Dameron in his X-Wing

• #67 – Kylo Ren ignites his Lightsaber

• #74 – Rey on her Speeder

• #76 – Finn on the run

• #81 – Stormtroopers prepare for battle

• #88 – X-Wings in formation

• #96 – The Millennium Falcon

The base set is 110 cards, all printed on the heavy 2004 Heritage-style card stock, using the iconic blue starfield design from the original 1977 Topps Star Wars Series 1 set. 

The card set contains over 30 signers including some first-time ones, some new stickers, sketch cards, patch cards, printing plates, autograph printing plates, and also buyback cards. The designs and artwork are really nice on these!

KINGDOM HEARTS 2.9 LEAKED OUT

It turns out that an alleged Square Enix employee has leaked out some juicy Kingdom Hearts info via a LinkedIn page.

As you can see, the resumé makes a reference to something called Kingdom Hearts 2.9, currently in development for PS3 and PS4. What is it? Nobody knows… yet. Remember at the recent E3 2015, the name ‘Kingdom Hearts 2.9″ appeared on the Square Enix Presents schedule screen, only to mysteriously disappear shortly afterwards.

The resumé even seems to leak out some Kingdom Hearts III info, which will apparently feature a return of the Gummi Ship, introduce a multiplayer mode and feature a Pixar world.

KIRBY AND MEGA MAN NENDOROIDS  ARE UP FOR PRE-ORDER

The Good Smile Company have been keeping Nintendo fans happy with their amazing Nintendo Nendoroid pieces. Next on the list and up for pre-order are the new Kirby and Mega Man Nendoroids (each sold separately).

If you’re wondering how you’re going to pose that little blob, the Kirby Nendoroid makes use of a number of magnets for posing, making his movements smooth, natural and easy to pose!  The Kirby Nendoroid comes with his standard smiling face, a more serious face, an expression with his mouth wide open to display his using the inhaling ability as well as an expanded expression to show him filled up after inhaling!

As for Mega Man, he comes with a variety of optional parts including effect parts for both his standard and charged Mega Buster attacks as well as an E Tank to save him when things look rough! He also comes with three different expression parts including his standard expression, an expression with clenched teeth for more combat orientated poses as well as the expression for whenever he takes damage! 

Pre-ordering from The Good Smile Company website will earn you some fancy items to compliment your Nendoroids: A Maxim tomato for Kirby and a Death Effect plate for Mega Man!

TWO NEW WEAPONS MAKING THEIR WAY TO SPLATOON 

The latest Splatoon Splatfest kicks off this weekend with cool Transformers themed team battles for the US, and a less thrilling ‘I prefer singing / dancing!’ themed teams for Europe. 

Either way, TWO NEW weapons will be making their way to Splatoon while the latest Splatfest springs into action, check them out above!

GAME LEAKS SHOVEL KNIGHT AMIIBO

GAME (The UK’s equivalent of Gamestop) very recently put up a Shovel Knight amiibo via their Twitter account for Brighton, England (@GAMEBrighton), only to have it mysteriously taken down minutes later. 

It’s confirmed that the amiibo will unlock content in Shovel Knight on both Wii U and 3DS, but people are itching with rumours, many speculating a Shovel Knight fighter for Super Smash Bros, seeing as how they had amazing feedback from fans over Shovel Knight being voted into Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. fighter’s ballot.

The amiibo is said to be set for release on 27th November in the UK with pre-orders to open on 28th August.

This is a great amiibo for any collector!

IRON MAIDEN - SPEED OF LIGHT

Iron Maiden have released the first single, “Speed of Light”, from their upcoming 16th studio album, The Book of Souls!

The video is pretty cool, showing off some video game evolution with an 8-bit Iron Maiden themed platformer, a sidescroller, and a more modern first person shooter. Check out the video above!

MICROSOFT REVEALS BATTLE TOADS PLAYABLE CHARACTER FOR KILLER INSTINCT

Microsoft announced at Gamescom 2015 that a third series for Killer Instinct will be on its way to us in March 2016, with a set of new fighters. Rash from the classic BattleToads series was also revealed as one of the new characters and the only new fighter to be playable RIGHT NOW! He’s available for a limited time only, running as a test period that ends on September 8th at 12 a.m. PT. If you want to have access to Rash you will need to have purchased something out of the Killer Instinct content or own the Rare Replaycollection. A lot of fans are seeing this as a sign of a possible future BattleToads revival!

BLAKE GRIFFIN VS. MARVIN THE MARTIAN IN THE DUNK TO END ALL DUNKS!

So we’ve all heard the rumours that apparently basketball star LeBron James has signed a deal with Warner Bros. for a new movie, and Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t shy about teasing the idea of a Space Jam 2. 

This new commercial starring the LA Clippers’ Blake Griffin and Looney Tunes’ Marvin the Martian shows the pair battling head-to-head in a dunk contest, showing off their fly Jordan Super.Fly 4 Jordan sneakers. To me, this is enough of a sign to end that Space Jam 2 rumour, it’s probably going to be a reality. YES!
