UH... yes and no, i havent seen any of the mods in like a year, so im really the only one doing it? and i procrastinate like hell but ill try to be more active!

The First Tree

“A third-person exploration game centered around two parallel stories: a fox trying to find her missing family, and a young couple dealing with a death in theirs. Players take control of the fox on a poignant and beautiful journey that crescendos at the source of life, and perhaps results in the understanding of death. 

“Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the young couple’s life as they too become intertwined in the fox’s journey towards The First Tree.”

The game is story driven in the same vein as Firewatch and Gone Home.  This is still really early in development with a scheduled release sometime in 2017.  Figured I would make a mini post today.  The developer previously made Home is Where One Starts.

have you heard of the game called shelter? it is a very very nice game about life as a mother badger.

heck yea i have!!! i wrote a post abt shelter 2 for catkin et all a while back before i was a mod for this blog, but im not sure about shelter?for those who don’t know, it’s a game which you can buy on steam following a mother badger and her cubs(?), you play as the mum and you have to make sure to take care of your babies (feeding, protecting, leading) through 5 stages while facing dangers such as crossing rivers, fires, large birds, and nighttime. it’s short but sweet and i definitely recommend it!- tad

hey for wolfkin i found this really, REALLY old game called literally... Wolf. it's from 1994 but i found a download that will run it without extra work!! its a wolf simulation game and you have to just survive!! its a little confusing to figure out but once i did i had a lot of fun with it!! oldgames (.) sk/game/wolf/

I would suggest otherkin who join Goatlings to be cautious. There are a lot of otherkin on the site, but there are also a bunch of anti-otherkin who like to harass people who say they are. Just a heads up, I don't want any of my lovely kin friends getting upset because of one of these people!

there’s also finding home, which is short but sweet! you don’t have to download anything to play it. 

moss did a post on space-exploration type games a while ago, one of these might catch your eye?

“It was years ago when I played Feral Heart, so I don't know what it's like now. The game itself is beautiful, and there are lots of fun things to do, but players tend to have an elitist pack mentality and are sometimes rude to newcomers or will attack anyone who doesn't fit in their pack/pride. It's purely a roleplaying game, so there aren't that many set rules, which is why this system doesn't work to protect new or innocent players. If you're tough, though, definitely go for it.”

Thought i'd mention, Goatlings is really cute game where you collect, care for and battle with pet goats while also collecting items to change your human "ha" icon! There's hundreds of items to pick from and the community is generally very nice!

ive heard of this before!! its definitely super adorable and kind of reminds me of flight rising! the goats are all really cute so go check it out!

I think I heard about a thing called Universe Simulator that might be of interest for spacekin, I haven't played it myself but I think you are basically just playing around with detailed space graphics and you can even test out theoretical space things like "what if mars crashed into jupiter" or "lets make a star" or stuff like that. I think it is more of a science program and less of a game, maybe? And it might be harder to use and need tutorials, but looks fun and pretty.

So I've been playing this free game called SkySaga and I think it would be fun for catkin, reptilekin and monkeykin (Those animals are species of the game). It's a cute sandbox-ish online game where you go on adventures through portals that take you to floating islands (You have one yourself!) and take missions for the Explorers Guild etc. The graphics are GORGEOUS and right now it's in Alpha so if you register on their website they may send you a code to play ^^ Check the trailers on YouTube!

There's this really cool game that I think would be good for robotkin/starkin/plantkin and its called starbot and its about this robot that was just created and he become friends with a star and him and the star goes on adventures together. ;w;

I thought I should let you guys know, even though it's considered a children's game. But there is a game called Animal Jam! They have heaps of animals to choose from, and generally a calming game to play.

oh yeah!!

you can choose from 8 animals!! they have a wolf, rabbit, tiger, seal, koala, panda, penguin, and monkey.

 it’s online play so there will be strangers and i think (?) theres no restriction on chat except for censored words, so be careful! 

you also have to make an account but other than that it’s free to play.
