No idea if you answer questions for your 'The Ascent of The Queen of Chimeras' AU... but what would happen if Pure Vanilla tried to kill Shadow Milk? Like if the hallucination of White Lily started to torment him over the fact he isn't taking revenge, that Shadow Milk is still alive and he hasn't been able to return because of him.
Maybe Shadow Milk wakes up before he can stab him in the chest, or he doesn't, and he dies. That or maybe Pure Vanilla just hovers over him holding a knife, maybe he doesn't do anything to Shadow Milk, or what if he does something to himself... let Shadow Milk wake up only to see his prisoner queen let his blood drip onto Shadow Milk's face...
Just a hypothetical, no pressure, your AU is really good and its really fun to think about what if scenarios!

I’m pleasantly surprised that people are interested in this. (Originally, there was only supposed to be one part, but so many people on TikTok asked for a continuation that I ended up making one. Why only one? Because the ending was meant to be open-ended.)
I’d like to make a third part, but I’m not sure I’ll have enough patience for it.
As for your question—yes, Pure Vanilla could become desperate enough to try to kill Shadow Milk. However, Shadow Milk isn’t stupid and understands all the risks, so if Vanilla were to strike, he would most likely end up destroying one of the puppets instead.
But keep in mind that the Ancient still believes everyone deserves a second chance, so he would only attack if the king posed a threat to the lives of his loved ones.
As for taking his own life—in the story, he’s not that desperate yet. Even though there seems to be no hope, deep down he still hopes he’ll be able to escape.
Actually, Pure Vanilla reached for the shard of the mirror because he was being haunted by the image of White Lily. Since he had no idea how to escape, he decided to get rid of himself.
Why? Because the king is a conqueror. He grew bored after living for so many centuries, so he came up with a game for himself: first he learns everything there is to know about a nation, and then he conquers its lands, establishing his own monarchy.
In essence, Pure Vanilla is a walking encyclopedia of the entire kingdom (since he is a prince himself), and through him it would be possible to conquer the Fairy Kingdom, whose people work so hard to keep everything related to themselves a closely guarded secret.
For now, this is still at the brainstorming stage, so the plot may change (if I even decide to continue it, lol).
