Mine - A short film from Fordham University for Campus Movie Fest 2014. Out of over 100 films, it won Best Actress and got nominated for Best Drama. Mine has since been promoted by organizations like End Violence Against Women International and The Pixel Project.

The story follows Lucy as she performs a spoken word poem about the sometimes subtle way abusive relationships can develop.

A bit random, but I was wondering if you'd check out an award-winning short film about domestic violence that I helped produce; it's the first post you'll see on my tumblr. The film follows a young woman who performs a spoken word poem as a way to reclaim her agency after ending things with a manipulative, troubled man. I've been coming to the realization lately that we as humans have this crazy false belief that we are in control. When, in reality, we have no say in how our lives turn out. God is constantly surprising us with new doors that can be opened. I have faith that there is something great in the works for you. Just don't lose that faith. Maybe God is giving you this time to focus on yourself. Or maybe focus on him. You never know what will come along. You have a great caring heart and will do something AMAZING with it.
