man you know female characters can have important platonic relationships and care about people without being a mom or sister or wine aunt right
if you feel queerbaited by actual real human beings have you considered that maybe you're just queerstupid and queerparasocial and need to touch some queergrass
also, bisexual people exist. it's just that you people will call them straight if they're dating someone of the opposite gender and gay/lesbian if they're dating someone of the same gender. because you have no object permanence because you're, as previously noted, queerStupid
Things people hate hearing:
You are capable of harm
You have some level of power and agency
Ergo it is your responsibility to communicate your needs and boundaries
If you lie to someone about something being okay when it isn't, that is on you
Something being a trauma response doesn't exempt it from harming your relationships and the other people in them
Enabling your trauma responses will not make them go away, and it is your responsibility to work on yourself for your own wellbeing as well as the people around you
Being A Victim cannot be a pillar of your identity forever, and being victimized does not make you incapable of harming other people (see above)
You are not a mouse in a jean jacket you are an eel with a gun / adult human being who can use your words even if it's Scary
Having a personality disorder doesn't make you evil but you have got to get off of Personality Disorder Tumblr (see above, re: enabling)
Deep sigh. You want me to ~be compassionate~ here's the compassionate answer: your trauma will tell you you're a helpless child forever and you need to Not Think This Way for yourself (living under the assumption you're still in danger whether you actually are or not) and everyone else who has to tiptoe around your Sensitivity. That's how you break the cycle and you can only do this by accepting responsibility for your actions. And it seems like a small semantic thing but imo step one is calling yourself a survivor instead of a victim. Self identifying with your victimhood helps No One. You lived, now get up
hello fellow artists. google has fallen. pinterest/duckduckgo AI filters don't work. do not despair; here is a list i made of places to find reference images without having to sift through piles of worthless garbage. (for future editing convenience i am just linking my blog post on dreamwidth.)
✨ good places to find art reference that are not full of AI trash 🌈

whenever people say canada is an unserious country or a zany joke it pisses me off and not because i feel like mocked or anything but because i find it wild rude and disrespectful to the indigenous peoples that have been harmed in this nation… genuinely nothing funny about the residential schools or the 60s scoop or the highway of tears or the forced sterilization of indigenous women
“some of your money smells like maple syrup so silly and unserious 😂” sometimes our police officers take indigenous men who are struggling with addiction and mental illness or otherwise homeless, mentally unwell, addict men and drive them far far away from the place they know into the canadian wilderness and abandon them to die from exposure to the elements. it’s called starlight tours.
APTN News (a national news outlet owned by Indigenous people to raise awareness and information regarding Indigenous communities across 'Canada') reports a study about the Winnipeg police leaving 76 Indigenous men standard on roads and highways away from the city in 2010. They also share the passing about Darrell Night, a Saulteaux First Nation from Saskatoon, who has been standard by the police, in 2023. His experience has brought national attention.
The Starlight Tours are not only taking place in Western 'Canada'. CTV reports two [2] Indigenous men from Nova Scotia have been detained in a gas station by the police in 2024: "Hartling, who is from Membertou First Nation, and Blaise Sylliboy, from Eskasoni First Nation, say that last week they were detained by federal fisheries officers for fishing near Shelburne, N.S. The two men from Cape Breton say that at around 1 a.m., they were left at a gas station far from home without footwear or cellphones and ended up walking for about six hours before they used a borrowed phone to get through to a friend, who picked them up".
There is also Neil Stonechild. He is a Cree teenager who has died at the outskirts of Saskatoon from hypothermia in 1990. It has been 36 years since then.
(Watch Nika and Madison and Redlights, directed by Eva Thomas of Walpole Island First Nation! Her films are about the Starlight Tours!)
hi!!!!! i’m an actual librarian who has encountered this very situation before!!!!! and while i commend & admire op’s willingness to help another patron, this is why you really really should have a library worker, not another patron whom you don’t know, assist you with tech & information related issues in the library!!! because we are trained in how to handle this exact sort of thing
tl;dr: use proton mail. i’m not gonna gatekeep this info. it does not require a cell phone number, so it’s my go to for patrons in this situation!!! while i am acutely aware of the harm done by the digital divide & how many people are getting left behind as our world gets increasingly tech dependent, the situation is not hopeless. there ARE provisions in place to help the people most affected, and those provisions are usually wearing glasses & cardigans & sitting behind the circulation desk
librarians are not glorified bookworms!!!! we are information professionals who are highly trained in how to handle these sorts of seemingly impossible binds!!!! ask us for help!!!!!! as i always tell my patrons, that’s what i get paid the big bucks for
you are not an endearingly rude and unfriendly cartoon character you need to be nice to people
coming from a place of love btw i still have to remind myself this often. i’m very autistic i know what it’s like to think of yourself as like a lovable character with quirky flaws because your sense of identity comes from fiction but you are a Living Person and that’s not how it works to be a living person
not enough people are reblogging this version which is fine but i think they should. I Know Ball i still struggle with this i Get It

We live, as I hope you know, Mr. Worthing… in an age of ideals, and my ideal has always been… to love someone of the name of Ernest. There’s something in that name… that inspires absolute confidence.
