If you’re wondering why the coronavirus stimulus bill isn’t passing, it’s because the Dems want more than $1,000 (I think they’re trying to get closer to $2,400) for each person and they want to make sure that the money earmarked for business goes to paying for those businesses payroll for their employees. The language is too broad(probably intentionally done by the R’s that wrote it) and could be used instead for the companies to do buy backs on their stocks or pay for other things not related to actually paying their employees. I have been seeing suspicious“Russian bot/Bernie is the only good person in Congress posts”on here and I just wanted to briefly some people on what the hold up is. Still working from home so I can’t take a full dive but I didn’t study political science for 6 years and work in politics for the pass 4 years to not try to explain why we have to stop making blanket statements about the Federal Government.

Dems also want to make sure that none of the businesses taking aid can layoff employees, and they want to get rid of the sliding scale the GOP wants on the money for each person. GOP wants to make it to where poor people get less money (like a lot less) and how much you get is based off your 2018 taxes. Didn't have to file 2018 taxes or didn't make $2500? No money for you according to the GOP. Dems want everyone to get the same amount regardless.

Another interesting development. Looks like the GOP also only wants to do a one time payment. Not monthly payments of even a $1000 person but one payment of $1000. Yes there are some Dems that need to be voted out but you have to acknowledge at the same time there are many Dems in the senate and House who are actually trying to get regular working folks real relief security during this pandemic.

I aint gonna articulate this right but I’ve noticed there’s this weird sub culture on tumblr where it’s frowned upon to say anything positive about your life. Like occasionally I see someone post something like “I love my job so much” and a few responses are like “wish I could find a job :/” or “must be nice to not have depression” and it’s really strange. A lot of people are pulling themselves out of dark places or finally figuring out how to be happy (no easy feat) and they don’t need you projecting your own demons on their moments of happiness they wanted to share.

having to be “mature” at a young age sucks bc you aren’t really “mature-mature” you’re a child playing at a maturity bc you don’t have the foundation to be the bigger person when conflict arrives so what you do is ignore it bc ignoring a problem and being happy about a resolution look the same to your inexperienced eyes. Then you get adults praising you for a development above your peers but you aren’t really developing. You’re stagnant. Your peers will grow up and experience things and make mistakes and grow from them but you will keep yourself in this box, ignoring things ignoring ignoring ignoring until one day you have to face the fact… it wasn’t maturity you had. It was fear. And now you’re an adult too and you make all of your choices based on an emotional risk/costs analysis bc you don’t know any emotion other than fear & you have to start healing from your own childhood by making peace that you weren’t really a mature child. You were just a child who was given too much to carry & didn’t know how to say “no”.

We met Alton Brown at a show he did here - we paid the extra cash to meet him and get a blurry cellphone pic with him and have him sign a picture. He noticed my (male) companion’s pocket watch, and proceeded to order him to take it out of his pocket. It wasn’t obnoxious, it was in a Dom tone that brooked no argument. So he complied. When he found out it wasn’t wound, and so not working, he was deeply disappointed, and told him to do better next time. 

If this guy isn’t a Dom, I’ll eat that spreader bar.
