You mean the moon???
working full time is terrible why do we just accept that having 8 days off a month is normal and okay........ being alive could be cool but we waste it at our JOBS.... sorry iām just heated about capitalism again iāll be fine
8 days....never thought about it like that š
This seems really whiny to me. Like, I agree with you, work sucks, but our ancestors didnāt get to browse tumblr at their desks or have the option to gleefully spend their ENTIRE WEEKENDS horizontal on the couch stuffing their faces/watching tv/playing video games/wacking off.Ā They didnāt have weekends. They just slaved away as fucking peasants from dawn to dusk until they died in childbirth or got the consumption.
I am perfectly happy working 8 hrs a day because I donāt have to:
grow my own food
find my own clean water
heat my house
shit in the woods
Hi, I study social and cultural anthropology. Humans working 40+ hours a week is 100% an industrial revolution thing and was not normal in the early stages of our existence. In fact, hunter and gatherer societies that still exist to this day spend about 15-20 hours a week TOPS working. The rest is dedicated to sitting around and telling stories and jokes, dancing, singing, eating, sleeping, fucking and so forth. Read a damn book.
Medieval peasants lived grueling, terrible lives. But their vacation days beat out the policies now common even in progressive societies.
Australia has started to test a network of drainage with mesh so that plastics and other pollutants do not reach rivers or sea.Ā
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE U.S.
As @madre-suicide saidĀ
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE U.S.
iām not sleepy in a cute way but in a chronic depression and insomnia wayĀ
I hate when people ask me āWhy are you so quiet?ā
Because I am. Thatās how I function.
I donāt ask others āWhy are you so noisy? Why do you talk so much?ā
Itās rude.
It is 100% this. People need to get out and vote then. If they want things to change⦠get the hell out and vote Bernie!Ā
Your vote MAKES A DIFFERENCE !
So, like, 100% what @danddamage said, but alsoā¦
Voting actually doesnāt work as well as you might think in the Southā¦because gerrymandering is a rampant problem.Ā Itās constant.
I remember once in Texas the demographic was changing a little too much for the state senate, so the Republicans tried to redraw districts.Ā The democrats, knowing that the vote would stall if they were not there, took off in a bus to get to Oklahoma.Ā And the State sent the fucking Texas Rangers to escort them back to force them to participate in a vote they knew would not pass.Ā Like, this issue of one party vacating so a bill will stall happens in more places than one, and on both sides of the aisle, but no state gerrymanders like Texas.Ā And no region gerrymanders like the South.
The thing is, Southerners doĀ vote.Ā Theyāre passionate.Ā Itās a duty, not a right.Ā But like the tweet says,Ā ābeing held hostage by right-wing state governments.āĀ Thatās what it looks like.Ā They vote, but their votes donāt matter.Ā Because the state governments make sure they donāt.

Im just sayin. Feel like traveling is overly romantisized to distract from the fact peoples lives at home are miserable. Like you still gon be miserable when you come back. Even more now because you spet what little you saved. Not discouraging travel thoā¦
Bro, youāre literally talking out your ass. Not everybody is fucking miserable. You do know that right? Overly romanticized???
Some of us are living fulfilling and enriching lives! Pls donāt project your own struggles and discourage people from traveling.
If you donāt want to travel, then donāt travel š¤·šæāāļøš¤·šæāāļøš¤·šæāāļø
Travel broadens your mind, gives you valuable experiences, letās you see the world and experience different cultures, letās you relax and a whole lotta other things. Iāve had so many unforgettable experiences in other countries that you really canāt put a price on it. Seeing the world is not ever going to be overrated. Not to mention not everybody is miserable. Like travel isnāt this this people do to escape misery
do you ever feel yourself slowly losing your current hyperfixation but youāre not particularly interested in anything else rn so you have nothing to fill that void and ur just bored and ready for death
